I have to throw out the disclaimer that I rarely play baseball because it's by far my weakest sport. Therefore, if you're crazy enough to tail tread lightly. :mj07: Anyway, I'll throw my hat in the ring with this little diddy...

Red Sox (-165) - I hate laying this much juice but the runline didn't have enough value as it was only -110. Maybe this is one of those "too easy" games but I think the Red Sox win this game 9 out of 10 times in my opinion. Much better team all around and we have a #1 type starter going up against a guy who could never hack it as a 3 or a 4 with the M's. Meche was always labeled as the "potential" guy in Seattle but he never lived up to it. He's a bit of a headcase and I can't wait to see how he handles the pressure of getting a ridiculous contract and being named the #1 starter on a team. Hopefully he doesn't do a complete 180 on me! :scared

Good luck all...

Good Luck Glenn! Like the other side but too early to take this dog at home. Not real sure what to expect from KC this year.

Thanks a lot Ronnie. GL to you too and congrats on the great season last year. I'm already seeing some good cappers on the Royals tomorrow, which worries me. I'm beginning to think I don't know my ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to this sport! :142smilie

To me this game is close to a toss-up. Meche has had some good success against the Sox and the Royals seem to hit Schilling pretty well. Line just seems too low even though its at Kaufman Stadium. I also think Meche may have that breakout year that the Mariners expected him to have.

Good points. I completely agree about the line. I thought it would be at least -200 or so. I think it opened somewhere around a buck and a half, which was shockingly low to me. Maybe Vegas is trying to tell me something. I admit a big part of the reason I'm on the Sox is because I've watched Meche pitch every 5th day for the last 6 years or so. He has good stuff and when he's on he's hard to hit, but he's so incredibly inconsistent that he's a good guy to go against in my opinion. I've done fairly well fading both him and Pineiro the last few years. Although Meche was halfway decent last year, whereas Pineiro was just awful.

Break up Gil Meche! :mj07: All kidding aside, I have to give Gilligan props. He pitched a helluva game today. That first inning looked familiar and I thought the BoSox might jump all over him but he settled down nicely. Meche pitches a gem and Webb gets rocked by guys named Tulowitzki and Iannetta. :142smilie No wonder I don't bet this sport much!
