I shouldn't have to explain this. Drake being an obvious play is why I think the line is weird. All numbers indicate that Drake should beat Iowa by a decent margin, everybody knows this, so the line being so low is why it is a weird line. How you decide to bet is up to you, if you think it is a strong play then you should bet it as so, but money management is a key to success.

Im not playing this game, GL

TD--Record yesterday was 0-1 which I talked about. If I don't post a play its not part of the record. Bet the 2nd half for my own (not part of the record) so basically broke even with my own played bets. Not negative of anyones plays just trying to figure out what Tig said about stellar records. Have wished him twice GL on his play. Not playing the game myself. Think Drake is the way to go if played but being from Iowa this is a big rivalry anything can happen

:mj06:Drake Bulldogs -2.5 $9 :bigun:

:firing: drake's been impressive this year, so far only losing to St. Mary's by 6 pts. they've got a nice, experienced lineup featuring 3 SRs, their gds producing 40+ points a game, with the sr emmenecker getting 5 assists a game.

idk how billy blastoff calculates his 'q' rating but i bet iowa's is RED! and that ain't good! their power rating has dropped steadily through their first 11 games while Drake's has only risen steadily up to 74 from 69 to start the year, and that's including, i think, 3 games versus garbage competition with p/r's in the 30s.

drake's scoring 80ppg, iowa 58! :00hour iowa was put in it's place by a not terribly good wake forest team AT HOME by 9. drake beat a solid wisconsin-milwaukee team and duquesne and... drumroll... badadadadadadaadadada IOWA STATE! yes, the powerhouse :mj07: drake manhandled them at home by 35, iowa traveled to play the cyclones and lost by 9, 47-56.

bulldogs on the road givin' a tre.

I'm up in the air on this one and I'll tell you why. Based on how the teams have played thus far, this is a no brainer, Drake is the pick. The problem is that Iowa has played one solid game this year when they beat Northern Iowa at UNI. The difference in that game and all other games Iowa has played this year is that Tony Freeman played in that game and hasn't played in any other game.

Freeman is not a superstar, but he is Iowa's best player. He's been hampered by a foot injury. He should be playing tonight. Outside of Freeman and Freshman point guard Jeff Petersen, Iowa has no ball handlers. Teams have killed Iowa this year with pressure. With Freeman this helps alleviate that pressure and Freeman has the ability to knock down shots from the outside and create on his own. I can't understate the impact that Freeman will have on this game if he plays. I honestly view this as a 15-20 point difference depending on whether he's in the lineup and healthy. All indications are that he should be, but there is no confirmation on this.

I don't mean this to rain on the pick, I just want to pass along information I consider valuable. I've gained a lot from this board and like to help out when I can. If I hear anything on Freeman I'll pass it along.

Its not the % that matters. Its units that count, and despite what your girlfriend tells you, SIZE does matter. Just kidding man... Of course the larger amount of units you are up the better.....

I'm at 16-8-2 for +22 units.

% may not be that good but the units make the profit. % only matters to those that play same units every game.

Man you guys are funny. At least reading this stuff is funny while waiting for the weekend to get here. I would guess that nobody posts every play they make on here, well except maybe that BucsnotYucks guy. I don't think anything gets by him without getting a bet down on it and posting it. He is the new posting master around here. Anyway all I'm saying is I don't see what records matter on here. I look at what everybody posts and take it into consideration. If you don't post any reasoning then I usually ignore it, but there are a few I like to at least know what they are doing.

Tig3ers, I like to look at what you have to say, so keep it coming.

By the way, I'm also on Drake.

Good Luck

Speaking of making SIZE matter:

AGENT 0659
Record: 63-60-2 +37.8X:scared :scared

Not a stellar record according to some, but Damn Sure pays for a nice Flat Panel at the end of the day don't it!!!!!

thanks sarge. i'm not hear to impress, just to help out and get some help in return, thanks hawki for your thoughts.

hawkeye... for the record: i never used "stellar" to describe anyone's records. stop putting words in my mouth.
and i disagree with your 57% number... it's more like 52% if you're paying -110 on every bet and playing the same amount.
to add to sarge's praise... i do fluctuate my bet amounts a good bit as anyone that follows me knows, and sometimes i can have like a 3-3 day and be up 10 units.
i don't keep track of my units because in basketball we have spreads and the odds i get on matchbook are for the most part better than the standard 4.5% juice you pay with -110.

i said this before in another post: in baseball--like hockey--it's all ML for the most part so there i keep track and post my units + and record and average units per play. in bball, those that follow me know how well i've done, and my 60%+ record should indicate that to anyone that should doubt it. good luck, bro.

i still maintain--as i said in your thread--that davidson was the absolute correct play last night and i'd do it again, citadel just got lucky in the first half w/ the 3 ball shooting like 7/10.

Tig3rs,

Don't call me a thread crasher but I'm in on Drake as well!!! If you don't mind I'm gonna post here instead of making a new thread. Iowa lost to Iowa State a week or so ago 56-47. Right before that game, couple of days I think, Drake Played that Iowa State team that beat Iowa. The Score you ask? 79-44. Almost doubled em up!!! Tonights line -2.5? -2 in some books? Big deal so they get their 15 ppg scorer back, Hes probably rusty being out, but even if hes sharp, add 15 and Drake still cruises. That 7 unit play we won on Vandy? Can you say time to double it? 7 UNITS on Drake -2. Check it out now......:spotting:

If I were that 124SPOT fella, I would bet all my lost units on this one. GL Ride it home...
in that Iowa/ Iowa St gm, St went to the line 27 times to Iowa's 10......Iowa shot the ball better from 2 & 3 , stayed close on the boards and turned it over double but only lost by 9pts in a gm the refs stole ..... Freeman DNP.... Iowa is 1-0 with him... You have to look at match-ups . Drake played Iowa St at home, Iowa was on the road for Iowa St. You might be on the right side but your analysis of those 2 gms is flawed... That kind of math doesn't work in this gm.

Good Luck on Iowa tonight with the unflawed reasoning..

sam bone... it's "tig3rs" no 'e' no capital 't' :)

tony, you're exactly right, agent fluctuates his bets nicely, as well.

"money management is a key to success" how many times have we heard that as an end-all statement to a failed argument? i've said it when i think someone's making an emotional play when they're running bad... but unless you know a person's money situation (i've explained that i keep 100-150 units in my account at all times, at the moment it's more like 180) or have tracked their units record (LOL at you, Sam Bone, you're totally right about BUCS, he's nuts! hope he win and move up from those $10 bets so he doesn't feel the need to play so many halves and totals for every game with his sides! geez!) then you really can't go telling people about money managemnt.

is anyone from indiana or know if the butler/florida state game's gonna be on tv? i need to see fsu play some more before conf. play starts!

TD I agree with you that units does matter-I am one that palsy every game the same. With the number of units you are up I think you have a stellar record. GL on your plays this weekend
Tig-I agree I played David and would pLAy them again--it's a long hauL and some days are good some not-just hope the good outweighs the bad. Have a good capping weekend.

Tig3rs,

All that matters for me personally is winning when it comes down to games. Since I got lucky and "stole" 7 units the other night on Vandy, Why not try and double it with some flawed logic. If I lose, I'm down .7 vig. If it doubles, I'm half way to a nice plasma TV. I think odds are in our favor tonight. GL Man!!

that wasn't all of my analysis, genious. it was a facetious comment. i don't need to be taught how to cap games. i believe i stated the home/road difference, and i know they're 1-0 with freeman. obviously you don't follow me or you wouldn't feel the need to criticize a sentence from my write-up. if you'd like me to scan my notepad and post the image i could, but i won't. if you really think i use the transitive property for my handicapping and am still going at a 60% clip then wouldn't you jump on board?! :mj07:

man, i'm glad i get to stay home all day and cap tomorrow's games, it's lively on here today, and AMUSING! I LOVE IT!

I guess when there is only 1 game to cap, people have lots of time on their hands, get real defensive about their pick and are on the edge. WE NEED MORE GAMES to Diffuse the situation!!! Lets hope next weeks slate is more bountiful.... Today, like any other day, I hope all Madjackers cash and stick it to the man. Gl everyone, whatever side you are on!!
