Very Interesting stat.

Boston has Cone on the mound who is having a decent season. Cleveland has Burba on the mound. Looking at Burna's stats he has been getting bombed all year. But if you look at his last three outings, all in relief, so he can get his chit together, he has been in a groove. When Burba is in a groove he can be tough. He may not win, but he gives you a good 7-8 innings and keeps you in the game. Boston a bit banged up. Ramerize may not play, and Everett not up to par. He has struck out 8 out of the last 16 tmes at bat.
Could be a good under play here.

The key word here might be "scheduled". As for performance after a day off, using data from covers.com, I have these #'s for Boston:

W/L: 11-5
O/U: 5-10-1

Solid but not nearly as strong as the above numbers. I assume you must have included the 2000 season (which I didn't).

I used Steve Fulton's trend report dated 7/31/01. At that time it was 2-21-1.

July 31 was under
Aug 14 was under
Aug 3 and 10 were not scheduled days off (sorry) so the count should be 2-23-1.

The next scheduled days off are Sept 3 and 17.
