Hey Gman,
I'm free, white, and 21.
I watched the first half and didn't think the Saints could play 2 decent halves. I was wrong. I've watched them play a few times this year and have never seen Brooks play that well. Everything he threw was caught. The fact that the Saints were up 3 TDs and still throwing the ball didn't help my under play either. I thought they might call off the dogs early, but Haslett's a DH, so I got what I got. I don't blame anyone for their picks if I happen to agree.
I thought you had the Baltimore game pegged going in. This was an under play for me too because I thought the Raven's defense would keep the Raiders in check and I didn't think the Ravens would score that much either. I thought this score could have been around 13 - 10. I was actually surprised how quickly the Ravens gave up on their running game once they got behind. I'm a Ravens fan and I've watched them a lot this year and I'm still not sold on Wright. He's had a lot of help from his receivers who have made some remarkable catches. The Seattle game was a prime example. Even yesterday, Heap made a catch of a ball between 3 defenders. It was a circus catch, and he can make them, but you can't throw into triple coverage in the NFL and not expect to get burned.
I think the Ravens would be better served using Wright like they did Trent Dilfer - don't make mistakes, run the ball, and let the defense do their thing. Somewhere along the way, they thought they had another John Elway in the makings. They'd be better off with another Trent Dilfer.
BTW, I like the Eagles in a low scoring game tonight. . . so it will probably end up 52 - 20 Miami. LOL
Good luck!
