This is my 3rd day posting MLB picks and right now I am 6-1 (+5.4 units). I am still trying to play mostly totals and I see a few I think are good plays. One definite for now:

PHI/FLA over 8.5 (-115)
I really think this total should be set at 9. Dempster is 7-7 with a 5.06 ERA and 1.60 WHIP's. Wolf is 4-7 with a 4.27 ERA and 1.46 WHIP's. Florida has been hitting well, and especially so recently. They are also .300 vs lefty in their last 10. I am not expecting a barnburner, but I think 8.5 is low for this game, and at -115 for the over, I like the value. Playing for one unit.

Will be back with more later. I have leans to:

ANA/SEA over 9
CWS/BAL over9
Anaheim

If anyone has any input on these games, it would be appreciated.

For the past two years, everytime I played under in a Fla game, the BP would throw me in the well. 8' seems low to me too. GL

Adding:

CWS/BAL over9 (+100)
Unless Wells' starts pitching like he did last year I like this one to go over. Opposing batters are hitting .295 against him and in his last 3 he averages 1.62 WHIP's (averages 1.9 in his last 3). Mercedes has a 1.6 WHIP and opposing batters are hitting .304. Baltimore hits lefties well, and in their last 10 are averaging .392. The over is 6-1 in Mercedes last 7 and 6-3 in Wells' last 9 starts. Playing for one unit. Might have one or 2 more later. GL to all.

1 more play:

Anaheim (+170)
Washburn has a 2.7 ERA in his last 3 and Sele is 7.16 in his last 3, even though I believe one start was in Colorado. Overall batters are averaging .266 vs Washburn and SEA hits lefties at .270 compared to .291 vs righty. Washburn also leads all Anaheim starters in run supprt at 5.6 per game. I originally liked the over at 9 but based on Washburn's #'s of late, I will take ANA at +170 for .5 unit. GL to all.

I'm with you also on the Angels.. price is wayyyy to inflated

Sele is coming off his worse outing of the year 6 ER, 10 hits, 3 walks in only 4 innings. And before that Sele went 5.1 innings with 6 hits and 3 walks. My guess is that maybe hes injured or something else is up. Washburn (3-4, 4.58) is doing great as the Angels have won his last 4 starts. In L3 starts a 3.20 ERA in 19.2 innings. Seattle also maybe a little tired after the 3 crazy games with Oakland

Liking that Philly/Florida over as well. Wolf has struggled with his control lately. Both offenses have been hitting the ball pretty well. GL

One last play:

ANA/SEA over 9 (-110)
Just for .5 unit. Both starters lead their team in run support (5.6 for Washburn and 7.3 for Sele). Since I have Anaheim on the ML, I am hoping SEA is going to have to play catch-up most of the game and maybe will get to bat in the bottom of the 9th to help the over, if necessary. I also think the SEA bullpen is a little overworked lately. GL to all.

Thanks for the solid overs on Fla & WS. You compelled me to play the Sea over as well however did not post it. Was looking rather grim, but 5th inning put us back in the play. Would be a nice end to the night to have this one come in.

phoenix,

Thank you. This forum has been such a help to me, I'm glad if I have helped in any way. I just wanted to post an early play for tomorrow:

ATL/NYM over 8.5 (-120)
Glavine is now 3rd in MLB in walks and has a 1.64 WHIP. His last 5 starts all went over 8.5 and his last 5 games he started the totals were 13,17,11,18,9. He also leads all Braves' starters in run support at 4.8 per game. Rusch's #'s are just as bad, as opposing batters are hitting .338 against him and his WHIP's average 1.72. I do worry that he has had 2 solid outings in his past 5, but overall I will take my chances as he has given up 98 hits in 69 innings. Playing for 1 unit.

I agree. This forum rules! Everyone here is out for same thing. To win and make some dough. The thoughtful insight for both sides really helps you put together a solid card of plays.

Seatle just scored 1 in B8 to assure us at least a tie. Feeling pretty good after way game started. Overs continue to hit good. Like your Atl/NYM O play. Rusch while he sucks does pitch OK at home sometimes. If they knock him out of box though, you get the juicy Mets bullpen. I'll play over every day if you guarantee me 4 innings of the pen.
