I was listening to tv after the game and heard that:
no road team has won a 7th game in the world series since the Pirates "We are a family" in 1979...
Of course I have not looked up how many series this stat applies to. Just thought I would pass it along as trivia, if nothing else.
I have a series play on Anaheim and was thinking of just buying it back. After tonite and seeing the Giants leaving the field so glum, and the Angels looking so positive, I'm not so sure I want to offset that bet. After the blowout in San Fran, it looked like the Giants all the way. After tonite, momentum seems to favor the Angels.
