I am still taking some time off.....but this one caught my attention without even capp'n it!
NY/Dallas Under 192'
Here's why after a little investigation:
-On Jan.3 the Knicks beat the Mavs 108-101. However, 21 of those pts. came in the OT! At the end of regualtion a week ago, the score was 94-94 for a total of 188.
-Camby and "Big" Dirk scored 26 and 30 respectively last week. I would think we'll see a similar kind of ballgame tonight as both teams try to methodically work inside to their big men early and often. This ususally helps the clock run as pass are made down in low.
-Since the Knicks OT win last week they have been horrid........with 3 straight losses to:
Celts...91-81
Spurs...90-79
Rockets...88-86<---Spree & Camby with only 8 pts each in this last outing
-Furthermore, against the Mavs last week both Spree & Camby were held scoreless the entire 4th quarter!
-The Knicks shot 49% last week (which kept them in the game) and the Mavs shot 38% against the Knick defense.
-To make matters worse for the Mavs tonight.....their 2nd leading scorer Finley is out. His loss manifested itself big time on Tuesday night as the Mavs struggled 2H with the Nuggets. The Mavs bet the Nuggets by 1 pt with a total of 95 for the game.
-On a lesser note Bradley is listed as questionable but his 5 pt/gm average shouldn't make a difference one way or the other.
-The under opened at 191 and now resides at 192'. After watching the Mavs offensive performance on Tuesday night against the Nuggets......I have to hop on the under here and hope the Knicks bring some of their patented, intense defense to Dallas tonight.
-Furthermore, another "normal" WEAK Knick 4th quarter possibility (like the 13 in last week's Mavs game) is huge contributing factor to play the under here.
On a side note: DAIRY QUEEN has responed to Cuban by saying HE might be surprised what it takes to run a Dairy Queen! The fast-food chain responded, "We invite Mr. Cuban to manage a D.Q. for a day."
LOL.....Cuban oughta take 'em up on it.....then do commercials for them and recoup part of that $500,000 fine. That way....he'll have more funds with which to rip Ed Rush AGAIN!
-->Play'n Knicks/Mavs Under 192' for tonight.<--
Might be back on Saturday on one I'm watching.....until then GL guys!
50-28 YTD...3-0 on Tues. night ez
