Paradise Poker recently added online blackjack to their site. You can play while playing poker. It really pisses me off because the fishies will be dumping money to Paradise instead of in the poker games :cursin: Greedy bastards :cursin: . You play heads up with the dealer, one deck continuous reshuffle. I played 79 hands and never saw an ace :scared :scared WTF is that. I lost 12.00 and will never play it again.

gotta agree here......for the longest time I played online blackjack in "just for fun" or "guest account" sections to hone my game and would usually come out $50 or so ahead after about a half hour or 45 minutes of playing anywhere from $5-20 a hand.........so when I tried for real, in pinnacle, it went just like BTJ said......my first couple of times playing for real went pretty well, coming out slightly ahead each time....no complaints......then when I went back to play again, I got KILLED!!. It was so bad, at one point during a 13 hand stretch, I went 1-11-1 with the dealer getting blackjack in 3 consecutive hands.......TWICE!......I think that experience has scared me away from online blackjack.......

I was always under the impression that on-line blackjack was setup like casino slot machines, meaning it is setup to payout a certain percentage and thats it. Not saying it's rigged, just saying the payout is set at a pretty low rate, say 80% whereas casino slots are usually 95% or higher.

I've played it before and it's just like playing in the casino with a poor rate - I would think with the mid 90's. Funny thing is when I was playing I started losing right off the bat, then eventually I won about what I lost. Not like the stories above. However, I made no money at it and I'm sure if you play it for 20-30 hands you'll lose. I don't know played it and it really doesn't do it for me, but neither do the table games or slots in Vegas. Sports gambling is what I love

in my opinion, online blackjack can best be summed up in two sentences:

1) actually being in a casino and witnessing a bad beat with your own two eyes is tough enough to deal with

2) the sickening, almost incredulous feeling is exponentially multiplied when that bad beat 'happers in cyberspace'

theres times when youre right there at the casino and almost question the legitimacy of the deck of cards. sitting at a keyboard and taking a bad beat is brutal and makes you want to punch a hole in your monitor.
