WSEX Poker Grand Opening

We are now live! Come visit us at www.wsex.com to download the software. There is plenty of action going on right now. The high hand for today is currently four Aces. If you beat that, and hold on to the lead until 11:59:59, we'll deposit 1,000.00 in your account. We will be giving away up to 15,000 dollars over the course of our extended opening weekend! Our grand opening promotions will run through Sunday and will include:

1,000.00 High Hand Hold'em (Daily)
In order to take home the grand, you must have the highest hand of the day, play at a real money Texas Hold'em table(games under the 1-on-1 and tournament tabs excluded), and you must go to a showdown. In the lobby you will be able to check out the high hand status, complete with the leader's screen name and leading hand for the day (there is a slight delay). If you end up with the highest hand for the day, then 1,000.00 will be credited to your account within 24-Hours.

1,000.00 Bad Beat Jackpots
You want the Bad Beat grand? This one's going to be a little easier than most. Here's how it works:
- Your losing hand must consist of Aces full of anything (A, A, A, 2, 2) or better.
- In Hold'em, BOTH hole cards must be used in the winner's and loser's hand, and it must go to a showdown.
- There must be 3 or more players dealt into the hand, and tournament games do not qualify.
- 3 Aces on the board does not qualify.
- Only real money tables qualify.
In order to claim your Bad Beat Grand, please notify our staff within 24 hours to calim your winnings. Email the hand number to poker@wsex.com.

1.00 Buy-In Tournaments
Buy-In for one dollar, that's right 1.00, and have a chance to win 100.00. We will be running 10 tournament tables on Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 9th & 10th), between the hours of 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. The Buy-In is 1.00 to be seated; the winner of each tournament wins 100.00.

Have played there a LOT since it started up... Some very good things there. I will refrain from telling you my playing handle there since i wont be able to take the rest of MJ's money if i do.

Paradise poker has tightened up a bit... not the site, but the players. The schools of fish that used to be there on a 24/7 basis are running out of money to pump into the game... limiting the amount of bets coming in. WSEX now, has re-opened that delicious buffet line!
The games there are loose. very LOOSE. If you sit down and play quality hands, you will make money. plain and simple. The players are weak. The sharks at internet poker seem to have shifted gears and are playing at the no limit and pot limit sites mainly now. WSEX opened up a whole new list of clientle with their poker room. If you are looking to get some easy money I suggest you get in their program pretty darn quick before the sharks get wind of this place and eat up the fishies before you get a few nibbles.

unless you've been beating my ass in 30/60, you don't have any of my money. 10/20 has been real good to me.

i can't beat that 30/60 no matter what i do. i guess i'll be leaving that game alone.

honus, try it out. i think you'll like it. much better than paradise, if you ask me. you'll notice a lot of familiar screen names in there too.

I have been playing there regularly for about 3 weeks now. I had one problem where I had a flush and lost to 2 pair (I don't know what happened???), but other than that it is pretty fun and although I don't pretend to be a big hitter like Jack in the 30-60 games, I have just as much fun in the 3/6 games (I'm a beginner, but I have turned 100 bucks into almost 500). It seems like I am a better card player than a gambler...

Finally decided to try it out last night.

Almost doubled my money at a 5/10 table, before giving most of it back prior to ending my session. Have to maintain that concentration, discipline and patience!

Anyway, enjoyed the site. Found it faster than Paradise, which caused me some grief initially, eventhough I played at the practice tables first. Eventually got used to it.

Loved the ability to write notes on individual players for future reference. Very cool.

Will definitely continue to play...just need to find the time.

Hey HONUS, don't jump off paradise just yet. Seems to be an influx of fish there the past few days/weeks. I dunno if it is from a new batch of players at wsex moving over to paradise to give it a try or what but the hold em games have gotten LOOSE!

Monday nite i sat down at a 5 handed 10/20 hold em game....
I started with 300$ at the table and in just over an hour and a half i had $1200 sitting in front of me!!!!!
Three of the 5 players were maniacs! raising everything!
Been noticing it a LOT at the HE tables.
hell, one hand, me vs crazy maniac, i had 6-6 in the hole, flop came 6-6-Q.

I got raised every fricking time i bet!

Don't have any funds left at Paradise. What a pain in the butt transfering back and forth between accounts.

Anyway, have won in four of my last five sessions at WSEX, so for now, I'm content there.

I must admit, though, my first choice for software, eventhough they are all somewhat similar, is Paradise.

Good input guys, I haven't played at Paradise but I have enjoyed the action at WSEX. There are definitely some VERY aggressive players there and with the ability to make notes I've got a lot of them pegged. I'm down a little after last night, couldn't catch squat at the 5/10 table and dropped 2 bills in about an hour. One guy there raised on ANYTHING and I do mean anything, the other players at the table were cracking jokes about this guys in no time flat. Didn't seem to faze him any, he just kept on betting his ass off. Damn shame I couldn't catch anything at all. Hard to win money with a 3-8 unsuited blind all the time.

PS what are your notes on me????

I'm in the learning phase yet...and am winning while learning which is good. Last night was my first night at the 5-10 level after mucking about at 1-2 and 2-4 tables, and doing fairly well. I won 2 bills (not yours, we only overlapped a little )

Imagine if you could read what other players noted about you...now that would be an interesting feature
