High Roller,
First of all, it's your money, do with it as you will.
However, I do feel that I have the right to chime in because your post proves an example of how uninformed some bettors are on the mathematics behind sports betting. Perhaps someone will read my post and decide to change their betting strategy in the future as a result of reading this, and save themselves a lot of money down the road.
If you took SAC ML for $1350/1000 you lost $250 more than the other guy who bet SAC -1 for $1100/1000. The question is, will the Kings win by 1 point enough to compensate for that extra loss of $250. Databases of thousands of NBA games over the past years will tell you that it is NOT enough to compensate you for paying the -135 over -110.
I'm just trying to save you money in the long run, because your strategy for taking a -1.5 favorite or -1 favorite on the money line instead of the point spread is a LOSING ONE. Trust me, take the point spread next time on this one and take your chances. If anyone has reason to believe I am in the wrong here, please feel free to tell me.
I think it's fair to say that we're all here to help others make money though, not to put each other down for our own self-gratification.
