And

And

I'm sure the Big 12 or SEC don't play every other team..... neither does the Big 10....

The Big 10 hasn't split into 2 divisions and scheduled a championship game... just because they didn't do that doesn't mean they don't have 3 of the top 10 teams in the country, because they do....

It's not their fault they don't play Ohio State this year .. I believe they will again next year. I wish they did this year - it would be a nice win on their resume...... :scared

Wisconsin has been a contender in the big ten ever since Alvarez took over the program. He scheduled cupcakes to make sure he got a bowl game every year. The problem is it takes them out of bcs contention by losing one game. They should have been scheduleing tougher teams out of conference. He did occasionally, but not enough.

There is some truth to that... although they used to schedule 1 tough NC game per year...

This year, for whatever reason, they did not.

Barry started playing some tougher NC games in the mid 90's but got spanked by Colorado a couple times. Ever since then it has been weaker than it should be. I do agree with Sun, that we need to schedule tougher games I love the fact that OSU, Tex square off early in the season, I think all teams should play a game like that early. We had a game scheduled with Va. Tech or Oreg St. this year that was cancelled so we had to scramble too find a replacement game, I don't know which team filled it, I'd have to look it up.

Heaven, oh!!, this isn't it?!

My understanding is those games were cancelled by the opposing teams after the "handshake" that Wisky had a deal to play them both......
THEN, after the NCAA decided to (two years ago) mandate all teams play a 12 game schedule, Wisconsin was left holding the bag because they could not go to one of those two schools (I dont remember which) due to scheduling of other Big 10 conflicts years down the road, and hence became the scramble to find a 12th team, and NOBODY, could find any openings:SIB , hahaha, which became the....(aka the Buffalo game:shrug: :scared ) The Virginia Tech game was scheduled SEVEN (7+) years ago, and was cancelled less than a year ago.....:SIB

Sun, I respect your opinions, but I think you need to start to move your Texas rants to the fans and their teams forum......:com:

Respectfully,

Franky:mj07:

Great day yesterday, bud!

Yes, I do still have season tix.... I split them with a couple of guys, so I only have about 12 games that I actually go to....

That being said, let me know the dates you are looking at, and I can see if I can help you out...

Defending Wisky...

Defending Wisky...

Since 1994 NO ONE has more bowl victories than Wisconsin who has eight.

On the other hand Notre Dame , for example, has ZERO wins in EIGHT attempts over the same time period.

Over the last six years Wisconsin has had more players drated than ANY OTHER SCHOOL.

Does Wisky have a weak ooc schedule...yes.

It would be good to play all the other teams in your conference ...true.

I think as Badger fans we are just noting the general lack of respect for our program the last 10-12 years.

Last year's bowl was a perfect example as they handled Auburn with ease.

If once in a blue moon a conference places 3 teams in the top 10 of the Bcs then let those teams play. I think Wisconsin does not deserve to be "punished" due to the fact that Ohio St and Michigan are soi strong this year.

As a fan, I am sure that it is tough for Wisconsin fans to see reality. I would be in the same boat if I were a Wisconsin guy....but fact is....is that they arent good enough for the BCS. Deep down the fans know that. They have done almost all they can, but havent done anything that they shouldnt have. The fact of the matter is that the Big 10 is WAY down this year. Aside from OSU and Michigan, the rest of the conference can be bundled into a big ball and thrown in the dumpster. Is there a team in the conference that has any semblance of an offense??? That is why Ohio State and Michigan has steamrolled everyone in the conference. If anyone could score any points, they might give a scare here and there.......but they dont. Wisconsin has lost only 1game this year by default.

But I guess I cant really tell you how in my opinion is so leaps and bounds better than Wisconsin that they shouldnt be considered......which is sad

There are 10 BCS slots.

For grins lets do away with the 2 team per conference rule.

6 automatics. Boise is BCS Top 12/Higher than ACC so they get an automatic.

Loser of Mich/Wiscy will be in Rose Bowl.

ND is automatic if in Top 8 - which even with a loss to USC is almost a lock - and will get picked as a 2 loss team anyway.

So at best under that scenario there is one slot for Wiscy. They dont belong ahead of Arkansas/Florida loser. Shit, how about Oklahoma who would be one loss to Texas except for getting jobbed at Oregon. You also have the Big East 2 one loss teams. Or LSU even with 2 losses - any doubt they are better than Wiscy?

Regardless, you are then stuck with who would pick whom. So let's look at that:

Title Game USC v Ohio State

That means Rose gets two picks. They shouldnt but with these choices they are taking a ND-Mich rematch.

Lets skip to Fiesta. Big 12 winner is locked in (Texas/Neb) and Fiesta picks LAST that is for sure Boise.

Sugar has SEC winner, Orange gets ACC (Wake?). Sugar wont take SEC team you would think....so have to figure West Virginia.

Thats leaves Orange. Under our scenario they can take an SEC team or Wiscy. Thye probably go SEC but dont know. But would expect Arky or LSU if it beats Arky). If FLorida loses SEC title you game you KNOW Orange takes Gators. Could take Louisville.

So you are a Wiscy fan and feel disprespected...do you want Wake in the Orange or Florida/Ark/Auburn/Tenn/LSU in your other Florida Bowl?

Bottom line: even if eligible most likely Wiscy wouldnt be in a BCS bowl game anyway.
