Y-T-D: 20-25-3 -16.2 units

Onward and hopefully upward:

UAB -5 over Memphis (5 units): Memphis Defense is abyssmal and all signs point to a comfortable win for Blazers here in the Battle for the Bones. I expected this line to be UAB -9 and believe last week stats were skewed due to starting QB injury and other starters absent. Even if Williams doesn't play I think QB Hunt will have a good day against Memphis D......the big difference in this one should be a good defense (UAB) againt a porous one (Tigers).......Hopefully we will get a double digit win.

USC/Washington over 49 (5 units).....Major props to Coach Willingham and this Husky team that has been full of surprises. Two offensive minded coaches going at it and feel Washington will score on USC. Lean to Washington + points, but like the total to go over here and expect a final score USC 38-WASH 24.

Pitt -7 (Bought the hook)........(5 units)......Well aware of Pitt struggles in Carrierdome, but believe that Panthers are a notch above another surprising team (the Orange)......small lean to the under here, but feel Pitt is simply the better team and will show it on Sat. I make them a 2 touchdown favorite and will go with my feelings here.

Have a couple of others I'm looking into so will probably be adding.....good luck guys!

Add Tonight:

Add Tonight:

Utah -2 (5 units)..........not a good spot for Horned Frogs who are still reeling from the dissapointment of a non-BCS appearance. Utah didn't fare much better in their attempt against Boise, but the overall mindset and injuries to TCU has to be a concern. If this game were played in Ft. W I might look at this one a bit differently, but it isn't and some home cooking for Utah should be enough to cover this small number.

FSU/NC. State??????? I have no idea which Seminole team will show up tonight and I'm still a bit puzzled at N.C. States season so far. I think I will wait until halftime to see if anything presents itself......good luck to those tonight who took a stand on this one.

Y-T-D: 21-25-3 (-11.2 units)

Tonight:

Louisville/M Tenn Over 52.5 (4 units)

Louisville Team Total Over 40.5 (4 units)

Louisville/Mid Tenn 2nd Quarter Over 14 (3 units)

I know there might be a question mark on the ability of Louisville to put up big numbers without their starting QB Brohm....but there is plenty of motivation for Cardinal to continue putting up big numbers and Cantwell should be fine in this match-up. Running backs Stripling and Smith have performed admirably for missing Bush, and both bring a lot of quickness to the table.

I have no idea why Mid Tenn St would schedule this game other than to give exposure to the program. Their coach Stockstill claims it is a measuring tool.......but as what happened against Oklahoma, I think we will see more of the same tonight.

Cardinal had number 1 offense as of last week, something they are very proud of. New Mexico State surpassed them which provides huge motivation to Louisville. This team knows the only way they have a chance to play in BCS spotlight is to put up big numbers each week. Cardinal average 44 points a game and hung 59 on Kentucky....31 on a good defense...Miami.....I have no reason to believe they won't get into the 40's in this one. Oklahoma beat Mid Tenn 59-0 two short weeks ago. Petrino has proven over time that he isn't above running up scores, and I can understand where he sits it is sometimes justified.

Tonight is another opportunity for Cardinal to appeal to voters and if I was Mid Tenn...I think I would rather be somewhere else. Prediction: 49-10.

Good Luck!

*Over is 12-2 in Louisville last 14 games in October
*Over is 6-2 in Louisville last 8 non-conference games

I have no idea why the number continues to drop on the side other than a well known tout released Mid Tenn as his Best Bet.........I know Blue Raiders have a decent run defense.....but they give up yards through the air, which Louisville should exploit early and often. Good Luck on a side if you have this one figured out!

A couple more plays for this weekend:

Nebraska/Iowa St. over 50 (4 units).......gone are the days of intimidating blackshirt defense at Nebraska......last week the squad surrendered 574 total yards against Kansas. ISU has allowed nearly 30 points a game to date. Cornhuskers averaging 42 points per game. While one may argue that Nebraska is only giving up 15.4 points per game.......a look into their schedule (La. Tech. Nicholls St. and Troy) are hardly a good measurement. ISU can throw the ball, and this is the weakness of Big Red. ISU defense is currently ranked 108th in the country. Something will give on Saturday and I wouldn't be surprised if this gets played into the low 70's. I like the over a lot......

Over 60.5 CAL/Oregon..(5 units)........I expect a shootout by two of the top offenses in the nation. Oregon averaging 40.2 points per game and Bears averaging 38.4 points per game. Both coaches love offense and I expect this to be a track meet on the field. Hopefully, both teams will trade touchdowns into the 30's and we will get the easy over.

ADD:

Uno Mas: Y-T-D: 23-26-3 (-6.5 units)

SMU/UTEP over 57 (5 units):

Both teams surrender too much via the air and think this one will be a high flying affair. SMU has come on strong their last 3 outings and appear to be hitting their stride offensively. UTEP has scored 11 of its 14 touchdowns by air....an area SMU tends to be a bit loose on. This game could come down to whoever has the ball last will win, but I think the best option is to plan on a lot of points being scored.

That it for me..........hope everyone has a good weekend! Hopefully will find some value in some halves this weekend!

Bought back my SMU bet.............I don't trust back-up QB for Mustangs, and the bet was expecting Willis to start. I will lose some juice and may get middled....under 54......but I don't think SMU will be very productive this afternoon. I went out for awhile and just received the info by phone.....so I'm late on this info.

Recap: 8-5-1 on the day +2.3 units........providing I don't get middled in the UTEP game......not sure what happened with Nebraska/Iowa St.......thought there would be more scoring in the 2nd half.......Obviously took a hit on the 20 unit play, but other plays today kept me in the black.

Y-T-D: 31-31-4 -4.2 units................we will get them next week!

Not done yet....just put 4 units on the Hawaii/Nevada game 1st half over...........this guy lives in Reno and is close to the Wolfpack..........he thinks they both may get into 20's first half.......he like Nevada too, but some of the players were out late last night (O-linemen and some defensive players).........he is fearful that Hawaii may outdistance the pack.........maybe a good 2nd half wager......will see how they are playing!

Good luck

Re-Cap:

Re-Cap:

10-6-1 on the day Saturday...........would have been a great day, but Washington St. and Oregon St. decided to be defensive....which was really offensive to me........lol........still I have fought back and currently sit at 33-32-1 on the season........-0.2 units which is a bit like a fresh start going into next weekend. Hopefully will be out of the red next week! Have a good one.....Stwoody
