Round 1 plays (1pt):

Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano to beat Alvaro Quiros +100 @ Boyle Sports [tie loses] [also available @ Unibet]
Soren Hansen to beat Alvaro Quiros -125 @ William Hill [also available @ Stan James and Bet365]
Opposing Quiros who is coming off two events in which he missed the cut by eight shots and has a best finish of 37th in five attempts in this event. Quite a contrast in form to GFC who has finished 2nd in his last three events and Hansen who has finished behind Quiros just five times in their last twenty common events.

Miguel Angel Jimenez to beat Charl Schwartzel +105 @ SkyBet [tie loses] [also available @ William Hill]
Backing the ever-consistent Jimenez against Schwartzel whose only tournament golf in the last three months was in the World Matchplay nine weeks ago. He should be far too rusty to compete with MAJ in Spain.

Alastair Forsyth to beat Danny Willett -125 @ Paddy Power
Not playing in China and South Korea over the last two weeks should be an advantage for Forsyth who finished 5th and 7th in the last two events in Europe before the mini-Asian leg of the Tour. Willett did record a top-10 finish last week in South Korea, but the travelling should be a handicap this week, particularly so early in the event.

Robert Rock to beat John Bickerton +105 @ Stan James [tie loses]
By contrast, Bickerton missed the but by five shots in the last two events in Europe before the Asian events, so he is hardly in the form to start well this week. Rock is in the better form and has a decent record in Spain, so is good value at these odds.

Stan - to bad Francesco didn't play the front nine like he did the back nine.

42 out, 30 in.

I had virtually the same play as my tourney play was even after three rounds.
Oh well, hit the other two but this was my bigger one.

I'd be more annoyed if he'd gone out in 30 and come home in 42! At least he did enough to cover one of my two plays on him. Bad weekend in this event.

DT ... I presume that you're posting the images re: Daly's dress sense. What's more interesting is the weight that he's lost.
