GAME INTRO

ULM can?t stop anyone on defense and is coming up short in close games, including Saturday's to Middle Tennessee. Ole Miss with a win becomes bowl-eligible for the first time since '03. This game will be just the third meeting between the ULM Warhawks and the Ole Miss Rebels. Ole Miss has won both encounters in Oxford, prevailing 31-3 in the 2002 season opener and 59-14 in the 2003 home opener.

KEYS TO VICTORY

ULM would likely need a lot of points to pull this one out. The Warhawks, which have averaged more than 25 points per game, are capable. The Warhawks haven?t been held under 21 points in six straight games.

TOP MATCHUPS

Ole Miss is fourth in the SEC with 377.2 yards per game. ULM has given up more than 28 points per game, which ranks sixth out of the eight-team Sun Belt. The Warhawks have not held a Division I-A team to less than 23 points this season and are allowing 207.8 yards rushing per game ? last in the Sun Belt.

GET IN THE GAME

Former ULM assistants Kim Dameron and Ron Dickerson are now part of Houston Nutt?s Ole Miss coaching staff.

?08 IMPLICATIONS

ULM is dreaming of another SEC upset to finish off an otherwise dreary season. Last year, it was Alabama that the Warhawks caught napping in November.
Ole Miss can become bowl eligible with a victory, so the Rebels definitely have something tangible to gain.
