We are all still learning :0074

Thanks Confucius... Guess I should have said 'less experienced'... just on year two of this endeavor (the same amt of time been divorced... coincidence?) and like women this sports gambling thing is an enigma. I do appreciate the feedback so disregard my smartass comments... I can't help myself!!!

I like the "home court advantage" for ND. But you're right - it's a lot of points to give up.

Thinking about a 1h play on ND -8...:00x32

:0003 I like the Zips... 6 players back from the 2009 team that lost by 13 to the zags in the first round... lots of experience, sr's jr's play 8 guys... ND ranked higher than they should be in my book... didn't understand the #1 seed talk..... nd likes to shoot the 3, 46% L 5 gms...the kicker : only 29% on N courts in 6 gms & the ZIPS defending it well, giving up only 26% L5 ..... think experience is a key factor, all the pressure is on the irish/ big east..... pressure kills !!!!! negatives, they have size but skinny, FT shooting not very good but niether is nd's.... Zips need to hit the boards, nd could have an easy time of it if they don't get their share..... THE 14 SHOULD BE ENOUGH !!!! I strongly believe that this is one of those teams that people look at after the fact and say : should have seen this coming..... EXPERIENCE IS KEY HERE !!!! SR PG ...

I'm going on ND. The last team Akron played that was even remotely in ND's class was Temple, and Temple beat them by 35 i think. also, ND are all older and want to win. they dont let this game get close

Being a Zips Alum I see this team play plenty to say the least... I put my $$ on ND as soon as the number came out.

Akron runs one of the worst offenses IMO that I have ever seen. You can count the # of screens away from the ball on one hand. They like to ball screen penetrate and kick it out the problem is the screener poses no threat and they have no inside game to speak of. Their guards are undersized for this type of match-up and Marshall in the paint is prone to foul trouble in the MAC so I can see him on the bench early and often and their depth at the 4&5 is awful. Defensively they can be tough at times but they also dont rotate to the ball real well and that spells disaster against a shooting team like ND.

Yes they have experience but that experience works out well for the MAC conference and not stepping into this stage against a Top 10 team in ND.

Btw Bryan that was the 08 team as last years team lost to OU in the MAC finals. That time also had a bit more size (minus Marshall). The Zips in that game against Gonzaga actually played lights out in the 1st half only to be outscored by 16 in the 2nd half when Gonzaga stopped shooting jumpers and pounded it in the paint. The double edge sword they find today is ND will have little resistance doing both to this team.

Great insight... appreciate the writeups! Still like the points but will make it a more conservative play. Mostly basing on 'anti-consensus' angle. Thanks!

2008-2009 season ... I know what team it was ...

So then you would have known it was the 08 team not the 09 team as you stated.

Yea they are going to play the game and IMO Akron will be exposed big time.

Im not sure what line you are getting but it hasnt went down at all only up from 13 to 14.5 in some places as of now. I have yet to see anything under 13.

GL on your bet though!!

Ive watched this nd team all year, when they have been healthy they have been deadly. They move so well without the ball and pass so efficiently. They have all5 guys that can hurt you much like the zags last night. Defensively is where they can have issues against athletic pg that can create. They have been on an incredible role, they were big on Louisville in the BE tourney in the first half than went to coast mode in the 2nd half....lville caught up and Nd couldn't turn it back on as hansborough's shot oculdn't hit. I would expect a focused ND team especially after the lville letdown. That being said and knowing little about Akron 14 is a tough number although 2 sides have tradiitionally won this matchup by 16.8 pts

the line was 14, down to 13.5 @ pin, a sharp book.... if this gm is as easy as you think it is, why is the line going down ??? the money is on the irish, I'm on the side of the RAKE ....

Absolutely I mean GL when I say it... Yes I would lose but that means someone on the board wins and in this case that would be you.

The line is still 14 in many places and in some 13.5 it also opened I believe at 13 so it has never got back to the opening #. Like I said IMO this game shouldnt be close judging by what I have seen from both teams. Again my opinion.

Don't let Akron's record fool you......they are not very good at all. They played one team this year that made the field of 64 and that was Temple. Temple beat 'em by 35..:scared I think Notre Dame beats the living hell out of 'em......that 13 point spread should be covered by halftime....ithat's what I think anyway....

I would say likewise if it was that easy with a sharp book than why isn't everyone on Akron  .
