Attended one of their seminars yesterday, and while the concept sounds appealing the price was a little steep. Anyone have any experience, good or bad, with their program? The price would be OK if the system works.

Or is there another worthwhile options trading program out there. Or any good book recommendations on the subject. I've been trading stocks, long and some short, for several years and want to try options.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

What are they asking for their education? There are several companies that can teach you about options. I, personally, don't think poorly about these companies as long as the buyer is aware of everything.

I would not take the class for a "system". I would suggest for you to just look for education (possibly a personal tutor/mentor/coach) that just teaches you the basic and advanced techniques used in options.

But for the most part, I would tread lightly.

would agree with Dawgballs comments. before taking a course like this or system, would read books, and maybe even start doing a few trade.

there are several good books, often there is a review or two in the financial press.

some have read good reviews.

How the Options Markets Work Joseph Walker

Trading options and Futures : How to Trade Futures and options Joe Ross

(this is a book to look at once you have read a few others, note trade options and made and lost, lost on Futures)

also believe Chicago Merc. puts out some good information.

just go your bookstore, or Amazon, borders or library and begin reading.

once you build up some knowledge. then you can take a course also you can tell what is BS or some usefull information.

also paper trade when you start. helps to save on those early mistakes....

the first trade you should try on options is probably a covered call.

will post of the options I have outstanding in another thread.

thanks

Thanks dooley, dawg and selkirk!

Package from Optionetics is $3,495. Includes study materials, two-day seminar and access to a coach for one year.

Think I will follow Selkirk's advice and read a few books first...look at other programs...and then decide the best course of action.
