Orrin Hatch: 35 states got less stimulus money for infrastructure than Solyndra
Posted by The Right Scoop on Sep 20, 2011 in Politics | 14 Comments

While Obama?s out there pointing at bridges that might need repair, Orrin Hatch reveals that there were 35 states that got less stimulus money for their roads, highways, and bridges than Solyndra did in a guaranteed loan for their green jobs scam.

Here?s a chart, courtesy of PJ Tatler, that shows how much money each of these 35 states got for their ?shovel ready? jobs in comparison with what Solyndra got in a guaranteed loan. And notice that only three of them exceeded $500 billion.

Just to bring this full circle:

This may shock a few here but I am FOR investment into alternative energies by the Govt.

I think it is a needed bridge to move us onto a future with less dependence on fossil fuels.

Depending on how this plays out, it could set investment in alternative energy back decades.

Very unfortunate.

Pay to play and political crony-ism needs to end.

Sickening. I agree about alternative energy investment. I've said many times that we should attack alternative energy like we attacked our mission to the moon 5 years ago.

More like 45 years ago, but never rmind...

Can't do that today. We couldn't fight WWII today, buy Louisiana today, build the trans-continental railroads or the Interstate system today either or universal schools. Someone might have to pay more income tax.

Did you know that DD Eisenhower was a commie-pinko, welfare loving, tax and spend liberal? Yep, just like JFK, TR, and all those other welfare-tit suckers.

And I think he was a bed-wetting queer too.

We need a REAL man in the White House, someone like Rick Perry. Uh-huh. You betcha'. :0074

I think investment into alternative energies by the government is an interesting idea.
Great... so we will spend billions of dollars creating a new method to generate electricity, then China is gonna steal the idea, use slave labor to make it cheaper and sell it to us.
Either way we lose.

That's defeatist thinking.

Forget national borders. Alternative energy is there for anyone with the courage and vision to seize the opportunity. We're all in this together. Our future on this planet depends on it.
