Follow the board regularly haven't posted in awhile. Am a regular viewer of the Os in the DC area. Os offense is much better this year with fewer weak spots up and down the lineup compared the past. Os have speed at the top and can manufacture runs much like the Mariners. Offensively, these two teams are playing about even right now so see no edge tonight in that respect. Both pitchers are 4th or 5th in the rotation and nothing to write home about. What I like about the Os is Helling seems to be hitting his stride lately and has been a pretty solid pitcher through about 6 innings or so. Key is the Os pen versus the Mariners pen...Mariners much stronger...I could see the Os up by about 2 runs going into the late innings. I like the 5 inning prop of Os +170 for that reason. I also think the Os can hold on tonight and won't relinquish the lead as the Mariners just aren't the hitting machine that have roughing up the Os bullpen lately (e.g., BJs). Ms maybe the most fundamentally sound team in baseball but they generally don't pound the opposition. When Os have had favorable or even pitching matchups, they've been winning lately. Predicted Score Os 6 Ms 4. Also like the Os again tomorrow with Ponson over Garcia...Ponson a much better pitcher this year and he goes late into games which keeps the lousy Os pen off the field. Os will be dogs again tomorrow and will parlay both days to get a good return once the line comes out shortly. Predicted score, Os 7 Ms 3. Follow with caution...these picks are a bit biased.
