I understand that he's a complete homer but when it comes to that particular crew, he normally offers the most accurate and useful insights as I've been tracking his picks for the last 7 or 8 seasons. I didn't base that post around him but made mention of the fact that every swinging dick out there seems to be on Ohio St. Just saw the service count across the street it was 20-5 in favor of Ohio St. I just don't feel that the 7 is as enticing as some people think it is.
I genuinely don't think we know how good either team in and as such am not sure the game is really all that worthy of a wager. I'll probably pass to be honest.
RE: Herbstreit, they just teased his "Top 4" for the late night SportsCenter and I don't think it's all that big of a secret. Win or lose he will have OSU in the top 4. If they win he has them at #1, if they lose he has them at #4. He'll begrudgingly toss in Bama somewhere.
If you ask Herbstreit who he think would win in a game with Alabama v PSU his answer will include "I'm not sure how either of them will match up with OSU and that's the game we want to see". He's just that irritating. He almost approached Mark May level of homerism when it comes to Pitt football.
I forget what show was on ESPN a few years back but it included Mark May and Lou Holtz. If they could have added Herbstreit and been able to play OSU, ND and Pitt all in one single game the earth might have stopped spinning for an hour.
