Texas fans whats the feeling in Longhorn country about Young coming back for his senior year?...You guys have any kind of a clue what is going to happen...As a Bucks fan I am praying he goes pro

My opinion trying to be non-biased, he's coming off arguably the single greatest performance in college history and top off a perfect season...and he should be a top pick in the draft...Young take the money and run...don't risk injury look it only takes one play for your career to be over

Only thing is Texas' players stay for four years...Roy Williams...Ricky...Benson...I am sure there is quite a list...what a great tradition to have

I'm working on getting tickets to the game for next season...should be another good one

He will be gone. Thye will start a freshman at QB but otherwise be loaded. The frosh will be very good someday, not sure how good he will be early on. OSU will be down on defense but better offensively.

Just like this year..winner in the driver's seat.

Texas is going to be losing a lot this year, but most of the gaps where we will take losses at have blue chips just waiting to step in.

Obviously putting VY aside for a minute I think the hardest losses to replace will be in the defensive backfield, namely Michael Huff & Cedric Griffin. I think these losses will be the toughest for the Horns to fix, mostly because IMO the back 4 relies on chemistry more than any other unit on the field. UT back 4 have been together for a nice long run & Huff was the QB back there.

Texas also takes some hits along the OL, biggest key there is Scott, but I am not that concerned with again having very good OL w/ the players we have to step in to fill those holes.

The DL losses a star in Wright, but honestly I felt he was a little over-rated anyways...again just my opinion. Dibbles also will be gone.

Give me a little time & I will have a full report on the status of UT next year. Basicallywaiting for VY to make his leap official.

Every thing just feel together for Longhorns....seems like UT's players have been playing together for a while...Huff is good but Griffin...wow...he is really good, kid lays the wood...UT has been up there in recruiting classes and its hard for teams to reload for the next season with unexperienced players...it happen to OSU in 04'...we went 8-4...it happens to every program...wouldn't be surprised if SC is right around 8-4 next season either...I can tell you now OSU rebuilding year will be 2007...we're returning enough of the offense to hopefully have a solid team next year...and we've been always lucky to pull good talent for defensive side of the ball...But OSU is still going to need to out score a lot of teams next season to win...but looking at the 06' schedule if we can just get our 3 tough road wins, I believe we'll be able to take care of business at home...UT is well deserving of the NC...live it up Longhorns

Wrong Griffen. Griffen the CB, not S. Cedric did have the big hit on the FB in the NC, but Michael Griffin is the one who lays the wood. He is back as a SR next year.

Thanks for the insight SUN TZU...I god hope he goes...OSU will not stand a chance in Austin if he stays

Not true. It will be a great game regardless. A lot of over-reaction going on here.

They will not get blown out, VY or no VY. Kind of pointless debating this so early, I guess, but OSU will be just fine next year. They lose a lot of guys on defense and Holmes on offense, but that happens almost every year. (2005 excepted)

People are always talking about how it doesn't matter that Texas and USC are losing some talent because they just plug in the next 4 and 5 star players. What do you think OSU has to fill in?

The game is going to be good no matter who plays in it. Both schools have talent waiting to play and impress. I'm a HUGE homer fan but I know that OSU will come to Austin and want to knock off the NC. I think this year coming up will be the biggest test for Mack Brown after winning it all.

personally, I will be rooting for Texas so Mack can get his ass handed to him in the Cotton Bowl just like old times.

OU wont be knocking off anyone as long as that spolied brat is playing QB and still with a makeshift O-Line. Best thing that ever happened to Texas was Bob winning the Bomar recruiting battle.

best thing that ever happened to OU was San Diego State "winning" Chuch Long

think you will see a little different OU offense next time around

their offense was stagnant with a great O-Line with Long at the helm

I thought SDSU should have gone after Neuhiesal and then Bob Toledo. Both are EXCELLENT recruiters and would increase the current talent level immediately. Both would not be long time hires but nobody is a long time hire at SDSU. Both have had success as HC's. Although Neuheisal has baggage but I am sure he would clean up his act.

If OU fans are happy to see Long go, why should SDSU be happy to sign him? Makes no sense to me.

Do you or anyone else follow OU recruiting? USC is battling OU for DT McCoy. The guy is a stud and IMO the best player on the field in all star game. He is from OU but I hear USC has legit shot. This guy can be the difference for both programs winning the BCS NC next year. I think he can play right away and both USC and OU already have talent at DT so he will make either DL scary good.

OSU fills in talent but it wasn't like Hawk was an all-american his first year...Your right the game wouldn't be a blow out and I never said that...but our chances of winning on the road...and this is all hypothetical but with a young defense (8 new starters) and just the second game of the year against arguably if he had stayed the best college football player in the country...OSU chances of winning that game would be minimal
