Obviously, Vegas is a gambling destination..
What else is there of interest to do?
As I run across something interesting, that I have found, I will list it..
Today went to "The Pinball Hall of Fame"
About 2-3 miles east of the strip on Tropicana, just past Maryland....
Kind of a museum for pinball, video junkies.....working machines from the early sixties thru today.
Something for everyone, whether it is Pacman, Batman, Twi-light zone,
Elton John, Terminator, or "Rack-em" (circa 1964)... they have a couple hundred to choose from.
Plays are a quarter, up to .75 for the newest.
I spent 2 hours there enjoying old memories for about $25.00....nice to see there were about 50 "kids" of all ages enjoying the novelty.
It is amazing to see the evolution of pinball machines from 5 balls, one level, simple electro-magnetic machines that scored only to a thousand or so, to the modern computerized LED multi-leveled,
multi featured, 3 ball machines, that score into the many millions.
I walked up to a machine from the early 60's and stood their stupidly waiting for the ball to be automatically channeled,
only to realize that the old time machines had to have the ball channeled with the extra lever below the plunger
Worth a stop if you enjoyed pinball.....wonder if they even produce new pinball machines anymore.
Been a long time for me...
