Is this kid that's starting tonight any good? As are others, I'm really tempted to take Atlanta ML +400. Coming off their win in NY maybe they will take the role of the spoilers.

In any case, all that I find out about Ottowa's goalie tonight is that he's 6'0, 164lbs!!! (another site listed him as a whopping 174). I mean, are you serious, a stiff wind can knock him down. I did read he's had an impressive .910 save % over the last 2 years.

Can any of you guys up around Ottowa give me a scouting report on this kid? Most likely put small play just because of the value in Atlanta.

Thanks in advance for any help

Best of Luck

i'm not from ottawa....but i'll give it a shot.

:D

The 26-year-old Prusek is 16-5-5 with a 1.79 goals-against average for Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League. He could become the first AHL goaltender in 63 years to finish a season with a GAA below 2.00. Prusek is starting in place backup Jani Hurme, who missed Friday's practice with the flu.

Hurme is not the only Ottawa player who is ill as defenseman Zdeno Chara and right wing Bill Muckalt have the flu and Todd White is questionable with a hand injury.

not only is the goalie new, but seems like there's some type of flu bug goin through the ottawa camp...

good luck tonite...and use it wisely, soldier!!!

Thanks for the advice, I think Ottawa will get the 2 important points now that I think about it. Will still put 1/2 a unit of Atlanta just so I don't kick myself if they do happen to pull it out somehow.

Man I wish I had this one on cable. I love these sort of games.

End of the second OTT has 39 shots! ATL has 9.

The score is 1-1

Cassivi is tied at the end of 2 and he has a save pctg. that most tenders would die for at .974

here's the best part ... pim's ATL 39, OTT 18

Looks like ATL boys are a little grumpy tonight.

outshot 52-15, 3-2 winners in OT...unbelievable! For some reason, Atlanta seems to have Ottawas number this year

i saw the atlanta broadcast on centerice, it was a crazy game, cassivi was unreal, i still cant believe atl won. good job to those that took a shot on them, Horns, obviously Ottawa outplayed them, nothing you can do when cassivi turns in that kind of performance. thought ott would get that shot to go in OT but off the post---hope salo isnt out too long--

wigs,

Salo will be gone for a few games for sure after that illegal elbow. It all goes back to our discussion about the Tucker hit. These players taking liberties on guys when they are vulnerable. I am sure the player laying the illegal hit would not want the same thing done to them so why do it to someone else. Cowardly acts is what they are.
