Trying the Bobcats tonight + 6' vs. the run and gun Bonnies.
OU historically plays very well on the road and has the talent to keep this one close.

Not a huge play here, but I do believe they should cover.

just a slight word of warning - versus Wisconsin on Sat, Hunter (OU's stud forward) hurt himself and was not the same player in the 2nd half.

if he is not full strength, OU could be in some trouble here.

Yes, that is good info. Hunter is a stud, and without his game being in full gear the Bobcats would be in a heap of trouble.

I will make search for any updates and post if he isn't up to snuff.

Thanks for your imput.

I spoke to one of my contacts at Ohio.

As NJO stated, Hunter sprained his right knee in the second half of the game vs Wisconsin. He continued to play for a while, but clearly wasn't the same after that.

Hunter had limited practice this week, spending a lot of time on the stationery bike and in the training room with ice packs.

He's with the team, the decision to play will be made at game-time.

Considering that by far Hunter is the Bobcats leading scorer (20.5 ppg) and leading rebounder (8.5 rpg) this news is not good since I've already put my money on Ohio.

I'm considering buying out of this play based on this report unless Spang comes up with some better news.

remember this is one of the hardest places to play in college, and the bonnies are putting up 83.5 a game against better teams the ohio has faced, they are shooting over 40% from 3 point land and will put the ball up.it is the bonnies

or nothing in this game.

OK, here is what I have. An on campus source says he's pretty sure that Hunter is
playing. He knew well of the injury , but has no new info as to how much it will hamper him tonight, if at all.

My plan of action will be to seek more info about 6 pm. Hopefully the radio/ net broadcast guys will have the latest and best info for us shortly before the tip.

I'll stand by my first inclination that OU should compete well here if Hunter is up to speed.

I'm also smart enough to be flexable. If a gametime decision to sit Hunter occurs, there would be a large play on the other side at the current -6.

Thanks to all for your great imput. Threads that share info like this are what gives us an edge.

Fletch-it is nice to see you give the Reilly Center the due it deserves-my alma mater. I worked hard to do my part there my four years. I use to have Chaney and Calipari rolling on the floor and sometimes downright pissed off. It really can be a very tough place to play.
I have not done much research on Ohio-but STB is playing good ball right now. They have to have good shooting nights as their inside play is weak.
Look for a good effort tonight-last student game before break.
Bonnies win and cover.

Hunter couldn't make it through pre-game warmups and won't play. Line has moved to 8/8.5

I decided to stay with my play on Ohio +7. Jon Sanderson has been a good player off the bench and at 6-7 230 Ohio isn't giving up any size with him replacing Hunter. I also like the way Sanderson spells his first name.

We'll see, I hate going against Fletcher.

I did jump on Western Michigan +7.5 just before 7PM (I posted it in my thread) when I found out Dixon was out.

I listened to some of the first half on the radio but don't have any stats. Seemed like Ohio was hitting some baskets but making a lot of turnovers and the Bonnies weren't shooting that well and were getting out-rebounded.
