I can't let this one go...

the longhorn's coaching staff have no basic coaching fundamentals...

that's why they're ranked #2 in the nation and have only beaten teams with coaches who know even less, right?

Texas coaches have done a great job in developing Chrissy......

Texas coaches did a great job in putting their best 11 out there last year didn't they?

Texas coaches did a great job last year in getting Benson the ball

Texas coaches had their team ready to play against CU last year

Time and again they get outcoached with superior talent.......they shoudl be playing as well as Miami this year because they certainly have the personell.....

Bottom Line : Coach Mack can recruit but he makes bad game decisions, hasn't been able to get a good game plan together in the big game, can't adjust very well in a big game -- maybe he learned this last year by FINALLY putting Major in, and doesn't seem to be able to get his team ready to play very well....Stoops is a huge advantage for the Sooners in this game.....Sooners DB's and coach are about the only advantage I see for them......

SOONER or later, Coach Mack will learn.....hopefully for all T-sips....we shall see if it is this weekend or not.......

FREEZE.......

FREEZE.......

Correct me if I'm wrong but does MACK BROWN call the offensive plays????? Don't kid yourself here...this MAFFAKKKAN PIECE OF CHIT offensive coordinator has been with him since when? NORTH CAROLINA? TULANE? and has HE EVER had a well oiled offensive machine? Not to my knowledge!! Or do you know something I don't? It's this OC that MACK needs to cut ties with.......PERIOD....HE SUCKS AZZZZ.....when UT does WIN it's because of the TALENT they have on OFFENSIVE not the PLAYCALLING which MACK doesnt do? Stop BUMPIN your GUMS.

mack brown has shown at nc and texas to get outsmarted in big games and to play some consevative ball. he is a good coach but a great recruiter. now stoops is a great gameplanner and really nows how to exploit weaKNESSES. I believe texas has alot more talent on o and d is more than adequete to shut down oky o. they are at home. but mack brown must gameplan better than he has done in the past. i think oky brings a more intense aproach to there coaching approach. oky d is awesome but texas has plenty of nflers to make big plays. i like texas here by a couple of scores. last if texas brings there a game and dominates rhe trenches like they should they will win. i think oky is going to have a very hard time runniung while texas i think will open some holes. jmo

no,

thats why year in and year out Texas has as much, or more talent than any team in the country.. and UNDER PERFORM every SINGLE year!

this is the same coaching staff who pulled one of the top rated QBs in the country, and put in chrissy who has done NOTHING in a ball game that means something..

this blunder was most obvious in the Colorado game last year..
simms throws a bunch of picks.. major comes in and almost brings them back..
if major was in the entire season.. UT would have not only beat OU.. but probably won the whole damn thing..

SINCE 1939 THERE HAVE BEEN 10 TIMES WERE EITHER OU OR TEXAS HAS GONE INTO THE COTTON BOWL RIDING A 2 GAME WINNING STREAK.

HOW MANY RESULTED IN A 3 GAME WINNING STREAK YOU ASK?
ALL 10

OU WILL MAKE IT 3 YEARS IN A ROW.

PLUS.....YOU GOTTA LOVE THE MIKE STOOPS(DEF CO) AND GREG DAVIS(TX OFF CO) MATCHUP.

everyone's a coach nowadays...

or knows what's best for a team...

just because a team doesn't go undefeated or win the national championship every year doesn't mean they underperform every year...get a grip.

YES IT DOES, WHEN YOU CONSISTENTLY HAVE THE TOP RECRUITING CLASSES YOU SHOULD BE EXPECTED TO WIN MOST OF YOUR BIG GAMES.

AS A FAN I WOULD HAVE VERY HIGH EXPECTATIONS IF YEAR IN AND YEAR OUT MY TEAM WAS , ON PAPER, BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE.

YOU HAVE TO AGREE COACHING PLAYS A HUGE PART OF THIS. AND NO, IM NOT TRYING TO BE COACH

<taking off the orange tinted shades>

I'll agree that our coaching certainly doesn't match-up with OU's. Like THUNDER said, Stoops knows how to exploit a team's weakness and he does it as good as any coach I've seen. Until we can counteract their schemes, they own us in that department.

Our lack of offensive production no doubt lies in the hands of our OC Greg Davis, rather than poor execution from the players. Here in Texas, they're calling for his head and if his playcalling costs us the game, I would not be surprised to see him out. There's simply too much talent on that side of the ball.

I think keeping Ced out of the game last year was a horrible mistake. It may not have made a difference in the final score, but I think it was crappy spin control which had Mack Brown saying he was kept out because of his weakness in picking up the blitz.
If that was the case, that was one of the most amazing learning curves climbed in gridiron history.

As far as I'm concerned, the 31 carries by Benson in the next week's game against OSU was as much admission as I'll ever need from the Texas staff that they completely fuhked up by not playing him, and that they were simply scared silly at the idea of playing the most clutch player to ever play in Texas high school football history against OU. Again, I don't know if it would have made a difference in the outcome, but it was still dumb, and as far as I'm concerned they as much as admitted it a week later.

Mack Brown is a huge advocate of smash mouth football. As long as he's at the helm, there's going to be an element at the top demanding a tough running game, whether folks below him want it or not.

SINCE 1939 THERE HAVE BEEN 10 TIMES WERE EITHER OU OR TEXAS HAS GONE INTO THE COTTON BOWL RIDING A 2 GAME WINNING STREAK. HOW MANY RESULTED IN A 3 GAME WINNING STREAK YOU ASK? ALL 10. OU WILL MAKE IT 3 YEARS IN A ROW.

Another interesting stat is that OU was either on probation while winning a title or put on probation within 3 years of winning a title for 5 of their 7 titles, thus making OU's titles in 1950 and 2000 the only completely legit ones. :thefinger

Sorry but you can throw out all the stats in this one.

Suit yourself, cheater. Don't worry though because you fit the consensus of most OU fans. Switzer was the worst cheater in the history of college sports and you're proud of it. No ethics and no class but you're from Oklahoma so I expect that.

For those of you who like angles:

In the history of this series, every time a team has been on a two game winning streak, that team has won the third game every time.

OU wins on defense again!
