Don't know the exact numbers but rarely does the outright winner of the game NOT cover the spread. Good luck.

A quick glance showed...

A quick glance showed...

only about 3 or 4 outright winners did not cover. I'm sure someone will post all the results.

The results I found didn't have spreads so I went from memory.

Guys,
I found this posted on another site......
1. 84% of SuperBowl winners have covered the spread

2. Fav has a winning record of 20-14-3

3. Team leading @ half time won 32 of 37 SB's

4. The OVER is 19-17 ( SB #1 had no o/u bet)

Passing on the side myself and taking the OVER 38

gl guys,
TT

the question should be...what percentage of favorites cover the spread, because quite obviously, all underdogs who win will cover the spread

I've heard that the long term number is generally about high 80's% but this year it has been hovering around the 80% number.

It's a fairly high percentage for the team that wins covers the spread.

I'm thinking about taking Carolina Money Line and knocking New England down to even in teasers.

Superficially this game does not have blowout written on it. And I can't bring myself " YET " to play any substantial wager on this game.

I may even tease Carolina up also. This has been a whacky NFL season.

I don't think neither of these teams were in too many runaways this year.

I keep thinking the over 3 1/2 field goals seems like a play. New England will kick and maybe Carolina, I may have to sweat out the 4th one.. Carolina kept stopping The Rams in their house. But The Rams were totally gutless in that game.

Actually I am not going to rack my brains on this game.

Good Luck All..
