I am new to basball and therefore have not followed the over/under for the past couple of years. Do these usually matchup close at the end of the season?? For instance, in the NCAA tourney the over/under is even right now. Yesterday, the over took 9 of the 12 games. I am a big believer in law of averages if the trend shows it. I would appreciate any and all feedback.

I have found out from experience that power pitchers have the early advantage because there isnt a lot of feel to being a power pitcher, and it takes a lot less time to get into a groove.

Finesse pitchers like Glavine and Maddux may take a few turns in the rotation to get the hang of it again. Especially in the colder climates.

But other than that.....hitters are at the early advantage, IMO. Some may say the opposite.....but know that I can still go out there and hit the baseball after being away from the game for a while....but I cant pitch until I get into a groove

Tease,

I really appreciate your information and agree with you, however, my question was if you or anyone else knew the facts over the past few years. My question is, if 9 of 12 go one way one day, would you not lean the other way the next. Thanks

Nope.....doesnt work. It may randomly work on a couple days. But Vegas doesnt make an adjustment over the course of one days games, so your answer has to be no. I dont have any stats to back that up.....but it takes awhile for Vegas to change a line, and one days games are meaningless. In fact...it makes sense to do the opposite, just for the simple fact that baseball is a game of streaks. If a team is hot one day...they are likely to be hot the next.

Sorry I have no stats, but trust me....you are better off doin your homework, than playing the averages
