Southern Cal +4.5 BEST BET
CAL -10
Stanford -18

SouthernCal- This is the best team in the pac-10. Arizona is looking like the Arizona everyone thought they would be before teh season. This is the first of a tough 3 game stretch for the kitty kats where they have ucla at home saturday before heading to tempe to take on asu. USC is the play here not only to cover but to win straight up

CAL -10- A lot of points here. BUT Cal is the most underrated team in the country, especially at home. Cal rolls by 20

Stanford -18: WSU is not plying well. Stanford is not that great but they are still 20 points better at least than WSU at Maples.

UCLA+1 VS ASU: These two teams I follow te most. I figured UCLA would be a 8 point favorite. Then I thought about it and relize the line is about right. ASU should win this game at home. They wont but they should. They play really well at home andUCLA plays to the opponens level, especially on the road. STAY AWAY

bgold,

Good call on ASU being tough at home. . . I may play the sucker bet on UCLA for a small wager, but I hope others read your analysis and realize that ASU really is a very good team at home. This line at UCLA laying 1 is certainly NOT a gift. . . especially with the potential look ahead game against Arizona on Saturday.

Also agree on Cal although I still have some capping to do on this game. . . Bears appear to be the right side.

Looking to take Washington State over Stanford but still have some work on this game as well. Need to find out just how much of an advantage the Trees will have in the frontcourt. Also thinking the backdoor cover is a possibility given the fact that Stanford will have a game in two days against Washington. May take the reserves out in the middle of the 2nd half content with a 20 point lead.

Arizona has the first of a tough 2 game homestand. . . not 3 game stretch. Gotta remember that Arizona has owned ASU (the 3rd game that you are referring to in your post). . .they are not scared of your Devils! I assume that you will be taking the points when the AZ schools meet up as the Cats will be the favorite and you may just be on the right side (taking the points that is) because I don't see them taking the Devils very serious and even an ASU victory is not out of the question although I'm sure Lute will have his Cats well prepared as he always does for this meeting.

Anyways, good luck to you. . . should be interesting to cap the LA/Arizona games for Saturday after seeing what happens on Thursday. If UCLA beats ASU, I see the Cats having a good chance to take them down at McKale. . . if they lose to ASU, the Cats should be scared as it would be obvious to me that they are looking ahead. Same reasoning for USC. . . if they lose to Arizona, the Devils may get whipped. If they win, I'd say advantage ASU. . . but who knows! Gotta wait for the games to be played first!

Just a little note on ucla s starting forward hines, his his doubtful tonite with a concussion he got in practice last week , he played the last two games b/c he lied to the trainers and they know now and want to hold him out . just something to look into.

hey crib...

ASU is 9-1 at home this year, and that portland game was really early in the year. They just swept the oregon schools at home. If you take the devils, you do it when they are in tempe since they are a bad road team at 1-4. UCLA has pretty much dominated the devils recently, winning four out of five, but ASU could easily win this game. Everyone and their mother will likely be on UCLA tonight since they are the ranked team playing an unranked ASU squad, but be careful tonight. CAUSE WERE THE DEVILS......THE DEVILS.........

". . . ASU could easily win this game"

Pretty sure that bgold would not go this far. . . but sure, ASU can win this game as they can beat any Pac 10 team at home if they play their best game. Even U of A!

Here's the scenario I see.....

For the first ten minutes, the Bruins don't take these guys seriously enough and fall behind. They spend the next 25 minutes grinding to get to around even, then slowly pull away for a single digits victory. Since the line is small, they'll actually cover against a team that has less talent.

They play to the level of their competition, they probably don't realize how good the competition is this evening, yet.

ASU loss to Portland St very early on should not be a factor. For one Chad Prewttt easily the best playeron the team got hrt in the first 5 minutes of the game. ASU was playing there starters friom last years team primarily in hat gam. As the seasn has proressed ASU has really changed the look of the team and g really 10 deep on the bench.

Good luck tongiht everyone and thanks or the words

My bad on USC.

USC:AZ LOSS: WOW-AZ looked amazing- home team in the pac does it again

Wash:CAL: WIN LUCKY, Cal up a couplepoints most of the game gets a double didgit win to cover

WSU:STAN WIN: EASY

UCLA:ASU This is why I said stay away, heartbreak city. I had front row seats at this one and the Refs call a technical foul on the crowd for throwing a coin on the court.Kapono hits 2 free throws and UCLA wins by 3. This is the dumbest rule i have seen. I understand the LONE fan acted like an idiot for throwing something and trust me hegot what he deserved from a riot of asu fans, but what is to stop somebody from going to an arena and throwing things on the floor and getting the home team a technical foul? If your a desperate gambler and have the away team why not just throw things and get technicals? The fan who htrew coins at the ASU game was wearinga UCLA hat. This rule is unbelivable.Great game though overall. Matt Barnes may be the most underrated player in the pac-10. He played hurt tonight and still lit up the scoreboard
