I dont follow hoops much to know enough, but it seems like every year when i check atleast a handful of teams are in the top 25...

between either USC UCLA ZONA STANFORD WASH WASH ST CAL someone is usually in the top 10 and considered one of the best in the nation...

are these teams all really not deserving of a top 25 ranking, or is it somewhat deceiving to the average fan like me?

are any of these teams legit....when i bet hoops its all based off numbers and lines so dont really know much about a lot of the teams outside of the big 10...

some of the records are above average....are they really that down of a conference???? i remember years back when Zona and UCLA were always in the top and had nasty recruits year after year....

California 7-2 17-5

Washington 7-2 14-7

Oregon 6-3 15-6

Colorado 6-3 14-7

Stanford 5-4 15-6

Arizona 5-4 14-8

UCLA 5-4 12-9

Oregon St. 4-5 14-7

Washington St. 3-6 11-10

Arizona St. 3-6 7-14

Utah 2-7 5-16

USC 1-8 6-16

besides CALS record, none seem to be running away....are they beating eachother up, or are they that bad?

I live out in AZ, so I follow the PAC 12 pretty closely. My take is that the conference is really balanced, mostly average to a little above average teams at the top. No team is good enough to consistently win on the road.

Team by team:

California 7-2 17-5 - best "team" in the conference. Guard, Gutierrez, might be most important player in conference. Is a good leader. Have a good shooter in Crabbe. Team to beat in the conference.

Washington 7-2 14-7 - fairly young, not good on the road (other than beating Zona in last game) have a great freshman guard, Wroten.

Oregon 6-3 15-6 - honestly don't know how there 15-6. Don't impress me at all. Have a good coach and one good scorer.

Colorado 6-3 14-7 - very tough at home. Can't win on the road. Like it's two completely different teams.

Stanford 5-4 15-6 - up and down. Decently coached team but not as much talent as Cal, UW, Arizona

Arizona 5-4 14-8 - tons of talent, good coaching, no inside game, terrible on the road, inconsistent as anyone in the conference. Could see them in the NIT or Sweet 16.

UCLA 5-4 12-9 - haven't been able to win on the road but good enough to get by at home. Have some good talent and can be dangerous as the season winds down.

Oregon St. 4-5 14-7

Washington St. 3-6 11-10 -

Arizona St. 3-6 7-14

Utah 2-7 5-16

USC 1-8 6-16

bottom teams are AWFUL. ASU, Utah and USC are three of the worst teams I've seen. USC has to be the worst team in any major conference.

Hope this helps.

BTW - I like USC +6 tonight!

thanks man...

yea i just cant beleive how mediocre they are this year, after years of having a couple elite teams almost always near the top...

i have been hesistant to wager on any of their games simply because of their youth and inconsistency....

appreciate the input....and i think usc covers also....prolly not touchin it, but a team that bad, and that bad of a record, only gettin a handful, well seems like a hook, line, and sinker type deal to me...

thanks again man for help and good luck :toast:
