I helped run the caddie program there. I would be happy to make sure that you got set up with a very good caddie.

Also, if you are going to make the trip, you should plan to play the River Course at Blackwolf Run.

Straits will run you approx. $300 plus tip, and River is around $200.

I hate golf with a passion, but am in the minority among my friends on that stance. I have a few buddies that have played both of those courses, and I've heard nothing but raves from them on both.

when (or do you still do?) did you work in the caddie program at Whistling Straights?

My father lives about a 1/4 mile from Whistling Straights and his youngest son (my half-brother) used to work in the clubhouse at the course.

I played the Straights (in 2002), the Irish course in 2004 and Blackwolf Run also in 2004. I paid when we played at Blackwolf Run, but getting to play the other two courses for free because of my brother was very cool...

I worked there through the 2003 season.

The best perk with the job was being able to play as much golf as I wanted to.

I personally like the Meadow Valleys Course at Blackwolf the best as far as playability goes. They have held the Wisconsin State Open there a few times in the past, and also a U.S. Open qualifier in 2003.

I hope to get a round or two in this summer at one or more of these courses.
Haven't played Meadow Valleys, so that will be 1st on the list.
I'll be up there for the U.S. Senior open at Whistling Straights in July, hope the weather is nicer than the 1st two days of the P.G.A. in '04....
