Green Bay -6.5 over Giants *****
If Packers weren't coming off a bad loss where Rodgers threw for just 106 yds might have passed on this game since Giants ats dominate the Pack in past trends...but think the Giants are hurting on both sides of the ball..defense has no pass rush,corners and safeties can't stop anyone...plus Pepper is out ..the spacing is amazing playing everybody 10 yds back..they are so worried getting beat long they give up the short yardage pass..Linebackers are just avg..have no strengths any where on defense... offense could be worse... everyone has given Jones a free pass all year...after the past few years with Eli any body is an improvement...so almost all Giant fans are giving Jones some free passes..but now they have lost 7 in a row,Jones has 11 interceptions,none in the past few games but 10 turnovers in fumbles...that's 18 turnovers now again we fans are giving him another pass since we are so used to Eli getting stripped ...but after 11 games and we are 2-9 many of us
true blue fans " are saying Jones wasn't ready yet..he still has promise and can scramble a little,,his short passes are solid but he needs another year or two...how ironic Rodgers sat behind Favre for a few years before he got his chance...we all know Jones is playing over his head...the play calling is the worst... Barkley tries to go off the guards and tackles and there is no room..he is better to go outside and make a move to shake a LB of corner back...Ingram there top TE is out and Tate the slot back is out...GB is 8-3 and think Rodgers will have the time to find holes in the Giant defense to move the ball and score..think this line should be around -10 to -13...so -6.5 is a gift... We always seem to play the Packers tough where the ATS record is 1-4-1 vs Giants.. you can find so many different trends but one I do know and believe is we never cover at home..think we are 5-15 ats at home...its cold in NY with rain and snow predicted ..We need a Texas team,indoor team, a west coast coming to New Jersey this afternoon... not one from where the weather is colder...
with all the back pages of Rodgers and his new offense and new coach etc...this is just what the Green Bay doctored ordered.....play the Giants and everything will get better
