Where it is real F ing COLD
Jordy Nelson will miss at least the end of camp with knee surgery. Today espn Wisconsin is reporting that Randall Cobb took off his pads an left the field. They reported that he likely seperated his should or tore his rotator cuff. McCarthy initially state that Cobb suffered a bicep injury.

Looking into this further and some are not thinking Cobbs injury as being serious

I think the Packers come "back to the pack" this year as I see, at least, Minny and Detroit as improved and Chicago maintaining.

No one has to mention that Ponder is the key for the Vikings and I think Reggie Bush is an excellent fit for Detroit along with what should be a much better defensive line.

I already picked up Stafford +6.5 TD passes versus Rodgers and without Jennings, a healthy Nelson (he is never healthy is he?) and now Cobb dinged up, maybe they will run Lacy a lot.

Don't forget Rodgers lost his left tackle, they most likely will be starting a 4th round pick at tackle

Since you know the division, do you think Detroit and Minny will fight it out for the title as I really see a GB drop here.

I have been looking at the Lions for the Division and conference and haven't talked myself out of it yet. I don't know if I can count on Peterson to have another big year and I don't think much of Ponder.

Lions are at +525 for the division and +2500 for the NFC.

I think any team can win it.

Packers banged up with 3 mediocre drafts.

Detroit adds a rb and dl.

Bears get a TE and improve line with offensive minded coach

Vikes get 3 first round picks and Jennings.

Packers had the worst off season by far and injuries piling up.

Does Detroit have a back 7 on defense.

Chicago seems to have trouble throwing, Forte is injured prone and defense aging.

Vikes linebackers are a mess with Ponder a huge ??????

Who the hell knows, I think GB does not win, if if if Ponder plays well its Minny and if Chico can groove it on O then they can win.

Detroit has a lot of weapons and Staffiord healthy
Man it's a toughy

I wished the players on the teams cared about this rivalry as much as the degenerates in this forum. (Me included)

If the Vikings had a professional QB they'd be the team to beat in the division. Luckily they don't. It'd be tough and unlikely for AP to have a similar season to last year. If they keep running him like last year he'll end the season on IR again.

Can't wait for the season to start and for the arguments to be settled on the field.

I like the rivalry and the jawing back and forth. Makes is fun

Same here. :00hour

Why in the world do they think Minny will be under .500 this year? It's almost like they are begging for money on the over.

Gjn on here is predicting 4 or 6 wins, all because of Ponder and last season was a fluke and AP isn't going to have as big of season as last year.

Yet they have really good young talent at just about every phase except maybe linebacker.

would be more of a rivalry if minny was more competitive:0corn

don't know that many packer fans that give a shit about the vikings anymore - most are concerned with the 49ers

It's a big rivalry up here, cause it's a border war. The competitive balance is going to catch up for a while now with all teams in the division cause the Pack is definitely going to take a step back over the next couple of years.

Maybe GB should be more concerned with SF and Minny since half their losses came from those two teams last year...just sayin'.

I don't really put much stock in the pre-season but, AZ shut out GB last night and the Packers 2nd teams and beyond looked pretty bad. They held them on downs after first and goal and that was with the starters on the field for each. The injuries do take their toll.

On the upside, John Abraham was very good for AZ as well as two rookies...Taylor and Matthew. Carson Palmer was protected and threw the ball very well albeit against the GB secondary which is not all that difficult.

This team is all Aaron Rodgers,

O Line is below average to Brutal

RBs are below average

TE Finley is a beast but doesn't show it

WRs when healthy are a great group

DL is Below Average

LB Are below average unless they are blitzing but a lot of times they are brutal

Secondary is below average and good passing teams make them look brutal

Yeah - I suppose maybe in your area it is. Most just think it's comical how Minnesota signs all the former packers.

Minny was considered a rival for a short time when they had Dante/Moss etc. It seems like the team most packer fans deem the "rival" has changed quite a bit over the years. I have seen it go from the Bears- Cowboys - 49ers - Tampa - Vikes a couple times (once because they were competitive and then again with favre)- now the pendulum seems to be swinging back to the 49ers.

But if your theories prove true - might be the vikes again.

At the end of the day - it's a quarterback driven league and Ponder blows ass.

PURPLE..I see your ripping the pack again and tryin g to get us going and riled up :)

You may be right om some positions for GB BUT last year playoff win and loss...year before NFC title game and year before SB win..I can name at least 29 teams who would love to have that on the old resume. :toast:
