Maybe GB should be more concerned with SF and Minny since half their losses came from those two teams last year...just sayin'.

I don't really put much stock in the pre-season but, AZ shut out GB last night and the Packers 2nd teams and beyond looked pretty bad. They held them on downs after first and goal and that was with the starters on the field for each. The injuries do take their toll.

On the upside, John Abraham was very good for AZ as well as two rookies...Taylor and Matthew. Carson Palmer was protected and threw the ball very well albeit against the GB secondary which is not all that difficult.

Please don't read anything into pre season football...It means NOTHING......i could care less if GB goes 0-4.....

PURPLE..I see your ripping the pack again and tryin g to get us going and riled up :)

You may be right om some positions for GB BUT last year playoff win and loss...year before NFC title game and year before SB win..I can name at least 29 teams who would love to have that on the old resume. :toast:

No doubt, but I can assure you they did not make the NFC title game the year before, Giants bounce em in Lambeau, they have had some really good teams and players go through there

Yeah - I suppose maybe in your area it is. Most just think it's comical how Minnesota signs all the former packers.

Minny was considered a rival for a short time when they had Dante/Moss etc. It seems like the team most packer fans deem the "rival" has changed quite a bit over the years. I have seen it go from the Bears- Cowboys - 49ers - Tampa - Vikes a couple times (once because they were competitive and then again with favre)- now the pendulum seems to be swinging back to the 49ers.

But if your theories prove true - might be the vikes again.

At the end of the day - it's a quarterback driven league and Ponder blows ass.

You must be fairly young. It was a rivalry here much through the late 70s til mid 90s. Vikings have for the most part had competitive teams. They have ha some bad one but the Vikes never had a 20 some year run of being
A doormat like the Pack did

Yeah - I can't speak to the 70s, 80s was all about the bears (probably because they seemed to always pound sand up the packer's ass for the entre decade), then it seemed to move more towards cowboys/tampa and to a lesser extent the 49ers.

What is the all time record in the series?

It's very close I know that, I haven't read up on it. Packers had a major advantage early in rivalry cause Vikes were a new franchise. Vikes dominated 70s and then I think the 80s and 90s were about even, then the last 13 years the Pack have dominated with an occasional Viking win here or there

I am very objective. I just do my part to balance the hatred and favoritism shown to the Vikings in the town I live in, even though it is in Wisconsin. You see, we are on the border and stuck with all Minnesota local television networks. It is really hard to watch.

Longwell must have loved his time in pink or purple whatever they wear.

Retires as a Packer. Says it all. No one wants to be remembered as a Viking.

Well Duluth area is much bigger than Superior. Local News has 10 minutes for Sports and he of that is local high school. I don't think the bias is as bad as it once was. I remember when the Pack got 10 seconds but I don't watch the news here anyway,
