This blowout is going to get Cardinal backers some serious line value next week.

Everyone will over react to this game and watch the line will be around Zona -3 or even pick'em instead of -7 like it should be.

If that is the case I'll be all over the Cardinals.

As a Packer fan that is a good thing since I can't pick anything right lately....

yea, people may overreact....

But seriously - this game next week in AZ is probably AZ-3 - there is no way they are 7 points better than GB....

Jezus - look at the pathetic division they play in.... if it wasn't for that division, they'd be fighting hard for even getting a playoff spot this year......

Both wildcard teams this year are better teams than AZ.......

Or......could be a serious case of underestimation on your part.

I obviously will be cheering for the Packers tomorrow. I just can't believe that the odds makers are off by 5 or 6 points on an NFL playoff game.

I hope the Packers are the right side tomorrow but normally when every Tom Dick and Harry is on one team....well you must know the rest.

On the course!
Or, you are a homer and he isn't:shrug:

I don't care about the spread one way or the other.

But, if the oddsmakers were "wrong" the way he thinks, the line would have moved to -6 or -7, wouldn't it? Instead......it has moved the complete opposite direction, meaning their "wrongness" was in not making the game a pick, evidently.

Doesn't mean Arizona won't win by 50! But, we all know the line maker isn't supposed to set the line according to how the game is going to turn out, he sets it according to where he thinks the betting will go.

If Arizona does win by 50, does that mean that was what the line should have been? Of course not.

BUT, if the line started at AZ -2', and they have been bet to GB -2'.........imagine the beating the books have been taking? 5 point swings in an NFL game without an injury are unheard of, and they CERTAINLY don't happen in the post season.

Now, set the opening line at -7, and think of the bloodbath that would have ensued?????

:sadwave:

They couldn't pray hard enough for an Arizona win tomorrow.

Unless the books are "gambling" and this is one of those fabled "trap" games then they were wrong when posting Ariz -2' at opening.

Either they WANT to take a side (in this case tons of cash on GB) or they want even action on both sides.

IF they did want even money on both sides they arent getting it and were wrong.

But to my original point, I think that the odds makers were closer to correct and the public is overreacting.

That is when you said I may be under estimateing...

Now I'm confused...lol

yyz, if you ever come to GB/Appleton you have to let me know. Dinner and drinks on me.

Go Pack Go.

I hate the Vikings. You should too.

I understand where you are coming from, but I don't agree....

I grew up close to Lambeau, going to every game in the 70's and early 80's.... back when a Packer ticket and a quarter would get you a cup of coffee....

People were giving tickets away....

Favre made us a real NFL franchise again.... by FAR the primary driver - with an assist by Reggie White.

If it wasn't for Favre, WE'D PROBABLY BE THE DETROIT LIONS.

The greatest, toughest Packer to ever play.

I don't LIKE the Vikings, but am rooting for all the success in the world for Brett....... unless they get in the Packer's way, of course...
