OAKLAND AT BUFFALO
1st Half Line: Oakland -1.5, O/U 27.0
Oakland has been a good first-half team so far this season, outscoring opponents 76-24. Buffalo has been so-so, being outscored 58-54.
Oakland's lowest lead has been 7 at halftime.
There might be some distraction with Janikowski's problems, but I still think the team will perform well. Worthy of a small play.
PICK: 1st Half Oakland -1.5 (-110) 1x
NEW YORK GIANTS AT DALLAS
1st Half Line: Pick 'em, O/U 17.5
Dallas hasn't had a lead at halftime yet, even though they have two wins. Giants have been down at half once. Worthy of a small play.
PICK: 1st Half New York pick (-110) 1x
CINCINNATI AT INDIANAPOLIS
1st Half Line: Indianapolis -7.5, O/U 21.5
The Bengals have been a horrible first half team, being outscored 78-10 thus far. If they were 7.5 pt. dogs in each first half, they'd be 0-4 ATS. Ouch.
The hook on this is a really big deal. I'd love to find 7, but I don't have that line anywhere. So, it's a small play, at least for now.
PICK: 1st Half Indianapolis -7.5 (-110) 1x
St LOUIS RAMS AT SAN FRANCISCO 49ers
1st Half Line: San Francisco -3.5 (-115), O/U 20.5
This is the game the 49ers have been looking forward to since before the NFL draft. They've coasted along to a 2-1 record, but here's where their season begins. The Rams have bullied on the 49ers in recent years, but are without Warner, Pace and Polley. The Niners are coming off a bye week to play a home game against their biggest foe. The Rams have only covered a 3.5 dog first half line once this week - when they were 7 point halftime favorites last week against Dallas. That game was tied at half. The two niners home games both covered a 3.5 fave spread.
The fact that so many people are on the Rams just fuels this play.
PICK: 1st Half San Francisco -3.5 (-115) 2x
PHILADELPHIA AT JACKSONVILLE
1st Half Line: Philadelphia -1, O/U 21.0
Don't be fooled by Jacksonville's 2-1 record - this is not last year's team. Philadelphia has a high-powered defense that plays outstanding on the road.
Akers is a perfect 9/9 on FGs, four of which were 40+. Epstein hasn't hit one over 29 in three tries. Besides that, both special teams have been suspect.
The Eagles's smallest lead at halftime thus far is 10. Granted, their opposition hasn't been the toughest, but I don't think Jacksonville is so great either.
PLAY: 1st Half Philadelphia -1 (-110) 4x
Good luck.
