yeah but they got lucky on the Home Run that was called a ground rule double.

I agree with you about the play at the plate. The home plate ump called a great, long ass game but really missed that one.

He must have needed to drop a deuce and couldn't hold it any longer, needed to end the game.

Go Rockies!! I remember about 2 months ago when the Greek had Colorado at 125/1 on winning the world series. Although they don't have the pitching to realistically win it all, their offense could propel them to win the NL and set up a really good hedge bet for those who threw down.... I didn't for that but really cashed tonight.

Geez, I just saw the play at the plate for the 1st time. Bigtime blown call. Not sure about the rest of the bad calls mentioned because I didn't watch past the 5th inning.

Play was totally inconclusive from all angles--they need more cameras as the Atkins home run was a home run . Games over lets get on with it

Absolutely correct!
If the Atkins home run had been called correctly, they would have never gotten to the Holiday play at the plate.

That may be true, but there is a differance when you botch a play that is a couple hundred feet away from you....not when you are standing on top of the plate and you call the guy safe....I watched it happen live...he did not touch the plate and I did see all angles, They use the word inconclusive to help the ump out from making such a bad call. He was clearly blocked, you can not compare that with the HR call. I believe the better team won...but that play was botched no matter how u look at it.

i thought it wasnt a homerun? it never cleared the wall.ball has to clear the wall where the yellow line is,not hit it.
incredible game, just nice to see a team like the rockies continue, both teams deserve to be in it and throw out the cubs :SIB

It sure looked like it hit a seat and bounced back in play which would make it a homerun.
