In response to Kosars thread stating that Reagan once had made a Clinton like pledge that turned out to be a lie.

Hmm lets see who was Impeached Reagan ??? ....Nope exonerated from those charges ! Clinton Yep found guilty hmmm go figure .

And being that The Contras were the ones that believed in Democracy vrs the Islamic Fascist that shoved Islam up everybody's ass I was behind that move 100% it was really quite brilliant .

Now for the Ironic part we can see the Libs whine about this action and they will huff and puff and tell me how it was against the law and blah blah blah .

Than of course we must touch on this extremely stupid comment : Kosar
"feloniously doing business with Iran only a few years after they took our embassy. "

Doh! shit for brains the Contras wanted to return the country to the people and take it away from those who closed our embassy ( the islamofacists )

Now for the part they don't get but they will soon.....see Reagan had great foresight for this stuff ...inevitably we are going to have a war with Iran because the Contra's failed ...Than we will see the same morons here whining about why we had to go their and its all about oil and where the WMD's wha wha wha ....You fools couldn't put 2 and 2 together with a ****ing calculator !

He can try and deny it all he likes but it is clear from his tread that he thought the Contras had something to do with IRAN. Stating that they wanted to give the country to the people and get it away from those who closed our embassy.

You can not be taken seriously after that statement. Get back to history class dipshit.

I don't know man. Palehose has a point. It's not much different than the current problems India is having with the Sandinista rebels in Kashmir.

How did North stay out of jail. Chit fox news treats him like a hero.
He's no hero he's a good B S'er. Did Reagan pardon his ass? I hope Ronnie didn't do that. Might have been Nancy.

Who would you rather have commanding troops with your life and families at stake Ollie North or John Kerry?

On Reagan the possibilty does exist he didn't know what was going on at the time--on the other side no doubt.

It appears that palehose thinks the contras were some sort of revolutionary Iranian group trying to topple the Iranian government. You couldn't make this shit up.

Have to go with Kerry here because Cheney would be the first guy to turn tail and run

Who would you rather have commanding troops with your life and families at stake George Bush or John Kerry?

Hmmm tough one, one guy served in Vietnam and the other guy well he was a questionable weekend warrior that enjoyed the finer things in life like Cocaine and Jack Daniels.

Palehose - rather than simply admit your rather funny error and move on, why do add "Funny we wont ever see that from the Libs here will we" with more stupid ass icons. ...I don't think you've been here long enough to make that accusation. ...And I can't recall an error that far off from either side in my short time here. What a ridiculous deflection. You are quickly becoming a joke. I imagine DTB cringes when he sees your mark on a thread. You are an embarrasment to your side of the political fence.

Typical Kerry deflection too. Attack the credibility of his purple hearts from ACTUAL service rather than admit the complet lack of Vietnam service from Bush or Cheney. Why should anyone care about his medals? At least he was there and served honorably. Then you call him a "faggot" and "ultimate coward"????? WTF?

You are a useless Chickenhawk. How can you even stand in judgement of Kerry's time in Vietnam? Please - reply with more ignorance or some comment about 'fishing with dynamite' or a self promoting remark about your superior 120 IQ (which I'd imagine would rank you in last on this forum, but safely ahead of Dubya).

I don't know, but can you explain why that pussy Bush never even went over to Nam? I do know for a fact that Kerry went over there but why was Bush so scared? Or for the matter why did Cheney have better things to do when his turn came? Bush is a disgrace to even state that he served when he could of took on the cause of his country and went over to Nam and aided his country in their time of need.

I Judge Kerry's actions by the words of his peers that were present and fought in battle with him.

PT Boat Veterans For Truth
August 30, 2004
By Tom Barrett

If John F. Kennedy had lied about his service on PT boats, I'm sure a group of PT Boat Veterans would have vocally opposed his presidential bid - and he probably would have lost. So it should be no surprise to JFK-wannabe John F. Kerry that the men who know him best have emerged to oppose his presidency. And history will probably show their courage in telling the truth about Kerry to be a large factor when he loses this election.

The Democrat Party Line today is, "Who cares what happened 30 years ago? Who cares about John Kerry's service in Viet Nam or Bush's service in the National Guard?" Excuse me, Liberals. YOU were the ones who raised both subjects. And now your underhanded tactics are backfiring on you.

The Democrats accused Bush of being AWOL during his term of service. Bush quickly authorized the release of ALL of his service records, and the Democrats were proved to be liars. The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth have raised serious and credible questions about John Kerry's service in Viet Nam. Yet he refuses to release all the records that could prove or disprove the Swifties' charges (just as he refuses to release his record of attendance - actually, non-attendance - at Senate Intelligence Committee meetings). His spokespeople SAY that he has released all his records, and tell us to go to his website to see them. But they hope you will trust their word and won't actually go there, because if you do, you will see that he has withheld the documents that would prove him a liar.

And of course it was the Democrats, not the Republicans, who made Kerry's measly four months in Viet Nam the centerpiece of their entire campaign. Bush has never raised the issue. In fact, he very graciously said that Kerry served honorably in Viet Nam. But Kerry spent 90% of his convention time playing up Viet Nam. HE made Viet Nam an issue. And now he is complaining that Viet Nam is an issue!

A group of veterans who served with Kerry called Swift Boat Veterans for Truth has come out with a series of ads that tell an entirely different story than Kerry does about his service in Viet Nam. Interestingly, of all the officers who served with Kerry on Swift Boats during his short tour, only a tiny percentage supports his candidacy for the presidency.

Twenty days after Swift Boat Veterans for Truth ads came out, Kerry has finally answered them. His answer: no answer. Instead of answering their charges, he chose to attack George Bush! Offering absolutely no proof, he accused Bush of sponsoring the ads. This is a very common liberal tactic, by the way. When they can't answer a question, they try to divert attention by attacking. Since he can't savage the Swifties the way he would like to (after all, they are highly decorated veterans, and that wouldn't play well with the public), he attacks Bush, who himself has already denounced the ads!

Why DID Bush denounce the Swift Boat Veterans ads? It certainly wasn't because their assertions are not true. It's just that Bush doesn't do business that way. He wants to talk about the issues. Kerry SAYS he wants to discuss the issues, but he and his buddy, fellow multi-billionaire George Soros, have been running attack ads against President Bush for the last year. Bush has publicly challenged Kerry to denounce ALL attack ads, as Bush himself has. Kerry has only denounced the ads that tell the truth about him.

There are two very interesting side notes to this whole Swift Boat Veterans for Truth issue. First, Kerry obviously doesn't believe in freedom of speech. According to media reports, he has put pressure on booksellers, including Amazon.com, to refuse to sell decorated veteran John O'Neill's book, "Unfit for Command." By the way, Mr. O'Neill has been variously accused by the Kerry campaign of:
A) Writing the book for money (isn't that why most books written?); and
B) Of coming up with these charges at the last minute because Kerry is running for president.

Kerry knows that both these charges are untrue, but he also knows that if you repeat unfounded charges often enough some people will believe them. So he continues the lies. The facts are that:
A) O'Neill is donating all proceeds from the book to charity. He didn't write the book for profit - he wrote it for principle.
B) O'Neill brought the exact same charges up against Kerry over thirty years ago after Kerry denounced US servicemen as "baby killers and rapists". In fact, O'Neill debated (and soundly defeated) Kerry on national television on the subject.

This has been a bad week for John Kerry. He had used John McCain in a campaign smear ad against Bush without McCain's permission. McCain made Kerry pull the ad. Then Bob Dole, who is respected by both sides as a fair man, revealed that Kerry had called him about the Swift Boat ads. Dole reminded him that attack ads were being run by both Liberals and Conservatives. He suggested that Kerry and Bush talk, and that both agree to try to stop the so-called "soft money" ads being run by independent groups. Kerry told Dole the only ones he was interested in stopping were the Swift Boat ads, which have hurt him badly in the polls. The fact that Kerry supporters, led by Billionaire George Soros have spent twenty-five times the money on attack ads that the Swift Boat Veterans have spent meant nothing to Kerry.

The third blow was that a phone call he made to retired Admiral Roy Hoffman on March 15, 2004 has come to light. The Admiral told the Associated Press this very interesting story?

John Kerry called him to complain about the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. He asked the Admiral for his help in smearing the veterans so that the public would not believe their version of events. The Admiral told Kerry that he was still furious with him over the lies he told Congress about the servicemen fighting in Viet Nam. He told reporters that Kerry's statements were played to prisoners of war in Vietnamese prisons, and caused them to be demoralized and treated even worse by the sadistic Viet Cong. He clearly stated, "Kerry betrayed us in 1971" when he characterized US servicemen as baby killers and rapists, knowing these were lies.

The tide has turned. George Soros said he would spend all his Billions to defeat Bush and put his boy Kerry in the White House. And for a while their vicious smear ads were working. The President's ratings were down because many Americans simply believe anything they hear over and over, without stopping to wonder who was spending the tens of millions of dollars to run the ads.

Now a small group of courageous veterans has emerged to tell America the truth about Kerry. They were courageous in Viet Nam, and they are courageous today because they know that 85% of reporters are Kerry supporters. They knew they would be treated unfairly in the media because they had watched those same reporters lavish praise on Michael Moore's ridiculous Fahrenheit 9-11 pack of lies.

Because of their courage, millions of Americans are thinking twice about voting for the vain hypocrite John Kerry. They are starting to understand that he cannot claim to be a Viet Nam War Hero after admitting to Congress that he committed war crimes that were, in his own words, "?violations of the Geneva Conventions." They are starting to wonder why he is running for president instead of being prosecuted for the war crimes he has admitted to. And they are rightly questioning whether a man who betrayed his own comrades at arms can ever be trusted as Commander-in-Chief of the mightiest military in the world.

Senator John Kerry has made his 4-month combat tour in Vietnam the centerpiece of his bid for the Presidency. His campaign jets a handful of veterans around the country, and trots them out at public appearances to sing his praises. John Kerry wants us to believe that these men represent all those he calls his "band of brothers."

But most combat veterans who served with John Kerry in Vietnam see him in a very different light.
.

Touch the photo to see which Swift officers support John Kerry, or click it to read more

The purpose of this photo is to correct the misleading use of our
images -- against our will -- to further John Kerry's campaign.
.
Swift Vets and POWs for Truth has been formed to counter the false "war crimes" charges John Kerry repeatedly made against Vietnam veterans who served in our units and elsewhere, and to accurately portray Kerry's brief tour in Vietnam as a junior grade Lieutenant. We speak from personal experience -- our group includes men who served beside Kerry in combat as well as his commanders. Though we come from different backgrounds and hold varying political opinions, we agree on one thing: John Kerry misrepresented his record and ours in Vietnam and therefore exhibits serious flaws in character and lacks the potential to lead.

We regret the need to do this. Most Swift boat veterans would like nothing better than to support one of our own for America's highest office, regardless of whether he was running as a Democrat or a Republican. However, Kerry's phony war crimes charges, his exaggerated claims about his own service in Vietnam, and his deliberate misrepresentation of the nature and effectiveness of Swift boat operations compels us to step forward.

For more than thirty years, most Vietnam veterans kept silent as we were maligned as misfits, drug addicts, and baby killers. Now that a key creator of that poisonous image is seeking the Presidency we have resolved to end our silence.

The time has come to set the record straight.

Palehose still believes the false Swiftboat ads which all honorable Republicans debunked long ago. Rove is a genius though - the ads did their job in fooling enough 120 iq and below voters.

Republican Sen. John McCain, a former prisoner of war in Vietnam, called the ad "dishonest and dishonorable" and urged the White House last Thursday to condemn it as well.

Yep been through all of them sites bud and the bottom line is I do believe the men that served with him ...yes I know the leader of the one group has been a Repulican ...but you cannot Deny the overwhelming amount of historically Democrtas who joined those groups even though they had a history of contributions to the Democratic party . I am yet to see anybody show any eveidence of Kerry spending even one night in the Hospital and no bodys seems to be able to show a legitamate path of command that asked for him to recieve his 3 Purple Hearts in less than 3 month's for minor flesh wounds ,one believed to be shrapnel fron his own rocket launcher . even more disturbing is no one has even tried to deny the allegations of no nights in the hospital no Commander has stood up and claimed they sent in the paper work for those medals except the Silver Star.........So till I see those things even addressed by one of his commanding officers I will continue to believe the men who fought with him . Than of course nobody can deny the words he put in print and the fact that those words were used to justify additional torture to POW's that are still alive and very pist that Kerry and Fonda have not been charged for Treason ........ Best part of that election was watching the POW Vet in the wheelchair come after Kerry and Kerry giving him the finger .

You clearly have NOT been through all those articles, bud. If you had, you wouldn't be spouting this drivel. Keep believing what you want rather than what is proven. Keep attacking someone who served and calling him a "faggot". ....OK, I give - all of your posts are jokes, right? Your here just to bust balls, right? Gotta be. Comic relief has to be your purpose.
