this guy` credentials are so superior to obama`s(community organizer..absentee senator...we can`t even get a college transcript on the guy)....that` it`s amazing you would even be ignorant enough to broach the subject...

would you rather live in debt-ridden democratic cesspool or a state like indiana?....a country run by an left wing academic,ideolgue who`s never successfully run anything in his life... ..or a man with proven accomplishments in government and the private sector?.....

i know you like socialism...otherwise,how else could you get your hands on the fruit of hard working people`s labor...

you want a a country that gives amnesty before closing and securing it`s borders?...you like a president that bows to and supports foreign dictators?...and abandons it`s allies?...

I would be interested to see a rebuttal to the rebuttal on some of these issues. Always looking for the truth, ya know? Sounded like Daniels did some impressive things, but as with anything, I guess you have to dig deeper. Wease, any follow up on the challenges to the posted points? Skip the part about the "lies" thing, and hit on the issues? Seems to be a big difference in many of the "facts." Not saying either is right, but always looking to see who might be a good candidate and why.

I'm wondering if much of this will be the same kinds of things we'll see/hear about Pawlenty. There are so many ways to present issues, and I'm sure I'll be shooting holes in many of Pawlenty's "facts" before too long.

hey idiot...indiana has a balanced budget every year....they have to...they have a balanced budget amendmnat in their state constitution...

these are very hard times...but well run states like indiana actually have "reserves" unlike many democratic states that are in horrible fiscal shape)...

the reason why they have serious problems is because of the recession and the continuing "federally mandated unemployment benefits" burden that these never ending extensions put on states like indiana...

Dumb question: Can't I have a "balanced" budget and still be in the hole? I thought balancing the budget was more of a planning exercise whereas the deficit/surplus is your financial reality.


Weasy: I'm not challenging you here, just asking the question. The guy sounds pretty good in your post. I have read the rebuttals, but don't think they have swayed my original position (I could do a lot worse than this guy).

You claimed that IN had a $200M deficit when Daniels took office.

You claimed that IN had a $1.3B surplus five years later, ie in 2010.

But IN actually had a $1B+ deficit in 2010. That information is readily available to anyone who cares to look.

So how is it that you are not a liar?
