Not our finest hour (3 hours?), NS. Although, YOU DID get 2nd in that 6th race.

2 Comments:
Only two, that no. 4 hoss, in the 2nd race was terrible. He was not right, something wrong with that one. He dosn't run like he did in that race. I wasn't around to watch, LIVE, any races today.

My PERFECT scenario developed in that 5th race. The no. 7 got scratched, OH BOY. I put my plays in when I posted here so I wasn't around to add anything... I prob. would have cause I woulda just LUVED that "muffin" hoss. STILL, I know better than to hammer ANY horse race. ONLY exception would be if I see a "10" hoss.

After winning so many races after I found a "10" during the prerace.. I made up my mind that I AM gonna lay don't some heavy bucks the next time one comes along. BTW, a "10" is a horse that kinda TELLS ME that he means business today during the prerace. Can't really describe it, but I know it WHEN I SEE IT. They ALL don't win, but a very high % do and the payoffes are UNreal... REALLY UNreal. I posted a few of them on my old forum sight. One hasn't come along in a long, long while though. The HIGH percentage of winners together with the HUGE payoffs make that OK for me to give it a shot and go overboard.

But, aside from that - NO WAY I go overboard (for me, that would be 3 figures to win or maybe something like an $8 exacta wheel on top depending how the other horses looked) on a hoss like that "muffin" horse today. See what happened today... .. . Don't do it.

Gonna do my bestest to make my swan song a winning day tomorrow. Let's find that bomber for TUES. I'll be back.

Thanks for stopping in, NoSigar :)

Jim. No, no overboard yesterday :nono: certainly not at PARX. Just trying to pass the time and make a little. That 6 that came in 2nd was paying 7/2 when I bet it, finished at 6/5
I know what you mean about a "10", just haven't seen any there. They are easier to spot at a track like Parx. If you look at the California horses 70% look like Man o War or Secretariat. Must be the weather.

Nosigar, I gave California racing a good try a long time ago. Could not figure them out at all.

As far as "LOOKERS" go, I think its a LOT easier to find deadbeats... head down, moping along, feet wide spread when they are standing still. Thems are through aways.

Finding "READY to ROLL" horses is a combination of things and something that ya really gotta get a feeling for. There's horses that are just pissed that fool ya to think they wanna run.

One thing to look for, but ya really can't use it as the only measure of readiness, is their head. A horse that is moving his head, PRONOUNCED, up and down when he's just walking is probably the best thing a novice spotter can go by.

I've seen, live, that Secretariat hoss a number of times; now that's a moova alright. There was a vey unfortunate horse that came around at the wrong time in history. Nobody remembers him and NO, I didn't bet him. But, people woulda remembered him for a long time if Secretariat wasn't around. He was probably the only horse that could really face up to Sec.

Ooops, almost forgot.. his name was Sham.
