TSN has learned that Toronto Maple Leafs head coach and general manager Pat Quinn
will not be behind the bench tonight after visiting a city hospital earlier in the day.
The Toronto Star reported th at Quinn was in such duress with back pain and breathing problems that he went to have blood tests done at a Raleigh-area hospital last week. His description of the condition at the time seems to fit the symptoms of heart palpitations and breathing troubles that have been reported.
Rick Ley is to take over the coaching duties.
