Why's that? No agenda here, just wondering.

Although Moore is left of Stalin, I don't think he's nearly as nutty and certainly not as dangerous as Robertson.

Exposing a presidents lies is a far cry from the comments that Robertson has historically made.

Any pub is good pub.

He'll be chirping again within a few years.

Everytime I see one of those pukes on TV while channel surfing I automatically reach for my wallet..To make sure it is still there...They all are a bunch of crooks and use something that people have faith in to manipulate and pretty much scam money out of them. I think Pat is losing it lately from some of the news accounts, but don't worry the last time I saw that channel I think he cloned himself. It must have been his son or something and looked like his younger twin.

jsut cover- hoping not to slide down the slippery slope of religious radical

to me people like robertson, jesse jackson, swaggert and their ilk are one of the lowest life forms. they prey on the weak-minded using religion as their tool. its disgusting. i remember a few interviews of people after they had heard the famous i have sinned speach, they were crying and expressing how they believed even more in swaggert. freakin pathetic.

any of you guys seen this guy out of southern ca called Dr. Gene scott. this guy is a trip. hes on some local channels. this guy has the life, he has unbelievable money and on his huge ranch are several hot teeny boppers who live with him. hes trying to be like hefner but the religious version.

I think Moore could have been as dangerous, but I don't think he is as smart as he thinks he is. His ego got in the way of him really sustaining cult hero status. Robertson is way more dangerous because his wacko ideas are jabbed in under the cloak of a "good Christian cause". Moore was just uninhibited bashing 24 hours a day which loses credibility quickly.

good to see somewhat non-partisan opinion on robertson here. i think the dude is pretty much just crazy at this point. the only possible point of concern would be if international leaders took him seriously. i doubt they do. keep up that sh1t-eating grin and take the ol' folks pensions until then, i guess.

on michael moore - i again become pretty liberal. i probably wouldn't like the guy if i met him, but i appreciate his existence. i thought 9-11 was a pretty good docu-propaganda-movie. it showed many relevant things, but was really hurt by his fat ass tilting things that didn't even need to be tilted.

i thought it was a pretty good story following that mom around who lost her son in iraq. i thought the section that dealt with the bush's close ties to royal saudis and members of the bin ladens was VERY relevant. even the most anti-moore types cannot deny the possible importance of that fact.

and by the way, moore is very clearly a capitalist. he makes a living being critical of the government and corporate america (very critical of clinton in 'roger and me'). he never suggests overturning our system - just likes to point out what he feels are pretty big flaws. that does not make him an enemy imo.

Agree Smurph--We can take these wacko's from both sides with grain of salt--but not so with everyone.

Both right and left have there idiots. I just don't know why it seems to be harder for the right to admit that.

Robertson and his tv ilk along with the news garnering catholic pedophile priests have done a whole lot of damage to mainstream Christianity. I see lots of guys here and some people at work who are agnostic/atheist, and almost 100% of them talk about people like this or people they know who have given them a bad taste. Robertson is a definite 'stumbling block' to many, many people, Christians included.

Passage Romans 14:13:

13Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way.

He needs to take the plank out of his own eye and :stfu:

Passage Luke 6:41:

41"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
