Went 1-1, but had a bit more on SD plus the points......If anyone is going to beat the Pats, you can not settle for FGs.....nor can you punt down 9 while in their territory late in the game.
Most importantly, you need all your guns firing....SD just too banged up on offense and could not max out on their scoring chances.
If the GB/GMen winner can come out without the injuries SD had coming out of the Indy game, I think they could easily win.

I am sure you recorded the game...so watch it & you will see.
Vrabel intentionally tripped Rivers by blatantly kicking Rivers across the ankles. Should have been a 10 yard penalty & SD wouldnt have lost the ball that gave NE the ball at the SD 20 & gave them 7 pts to take the game from 7-6 to 14-6.
I honestly consider that the turning point of the game.
