I knew that the Patriots have scored 0 points in the 1st quarter in the last 8 Super Bowls, so I thought it would be interesting to go back and create a Box Score for those 8 games.

Here is the Box Score for the previous 8 Super Bowls in the Brady/Belichick Era...

.............. 1Q 2Q 3Q 4Q OT

Opponent.. 15 52 30 60 0
Patriots...... 0 69 23 71 6

Definitely not the best team in the Brady/Belichick era, but I believe they have enough to win. After a horrendous start to the season, the Defense has played much better since week 5. In the last 11 weeks of the season they had the fewest points scored against them of any team in the NFL. Stephon Gilmore had trouble learning the D, but has been playing well.

I would certainly love to have Edelman & Hightower, but having said that I do think they will win. The one thing this team hasn?t done in the SB is win a blowout and I think this could be the year. :popcorn2

Thanks! Eagles have had 9 lives throughout these playoffs and ever since Wentz went down.....they have impressed, but Foles has been playing way, way over his head think it catches up here and he comes back down to reality some. He played flawless vs Minny. Even if Philly loses, they'll still get praise for getting this far with a back up QB. If Pats lose it'll be devastation and inexcusable. GO PATS!
