I know they are freezing the field and trying to pull out all the stops to slow down Peyton and his wrecking crew - but - a field with poor footing helps the offense (receivers in particular) as they know which way they are cutting and going. Look back to the Broncos/Raiders game in Denver quite a few weeks ago and you will see that the proof is in the pudding. An audio clip from that game revealed that the Broncos defenders were bitching that because of the poor footing they couldn't keep up with Porter and Curry late in the game and ultimately lost the game. If the Colts bring the right footwear to the game (and I'm quite sure they will have quite a variety) they will send the Pats packing for the season. Bill Bilicheck has been covering up that secondary for the latter half of the season and has gotten by, but his luck runs out this week.
Pats freezing the field but this one could backfire on the "Champs"!

Colts passing offense is based on timing. If it's cold, it's going to help the team that's used to the cold and doesn't play in a dome.

I agree to a point..... It helps the Wrs if a team is playing you in man coverage, but not as much when a team is playing zone against you. There is no way the Pats will try to man up in this game.. They will try to hide the weakness of the corners by blitzing and zone....e. The Pats are more concerened with messing with the Speed and timing of Indy's O... Look fot the Pats to drop 8 into coverage to disrupt passing lanes ect...

Secondly, the reason the cover was left off the other day was because the field was painted and it wasn't dry. They put the cover on yesterday. So the media conspiracy theory that the Pats were deliberately leaving the field uncovered is false or the field would still be exposed cause it is raining here today...

Anyways, I would like your take on this over under? I think Hindsite had some good takes on what will happen here. If they force Indy into everything underneath, would tend towards an under. What you think?
