I know all that bet under in tonite's game flinch at the prospect of Shuey warming up. I read today that the young arms the Dodgers traded away for Shuey are looking pretty good. Ricardo Rodriguez, is 2-0 with 2.13 era at Triple A Buffalo. He was considered by many to be the Dodger's top pitcher in the minor leagues. Lance Caraccioli, who also went to Cleveland from LA in the Shuey deal, is also 2-0 at Buffalo with an era of 2.45. Traded to Milwaukee in the Tyler Houston deal, was former Dodger's first round selection (2000) Ben Diggins has posted an era of only 1.45 since moving up to double A. Opponents are hitting only .155 against Diggins. Now you can see why many Los Angeles fans are wondering if the Dodgers didn't mortagage their future for a run (at the wild card) this year.
