LMAO John Kerry is one of the biggest POS ever to enter politics and makes any and everyone in the armed forces look bad. He is a disgrace to the uniform and any jackass that gets up there and describes to us what he did in that pompous arrogant fashion after coming back from 'Nam and saying things that people were taking torture over there not too say is a real piece of work.

Not sure what any of that or how your idiotic post applies to this thread but dude you are way out in left field.

Right in your opinion he is. Yours, Rush, Hannity, and everyone else when called upon that ran like the chickens they are. At least he went. Lets see he is a disgrace but the two guys in office who started a war under lies and deceit are wonderful people? You are a piece of work.

A lot of time needs to be filled with something during my SB-LV commute. Talk radio is 95% dem bashing. But you know me, I like to take it all in.

Sure, music is fine. But I'm not a hippie, so I need diversity. Unfortunately, AM radio is shit when it comes to game broadcasts. I remember last September attempting to get a crucial Dodger game the entire 2nd half of my drive - nothing but horrible static. Reckon it's time for xm or that other satellite radio thing.

Sponge, you have it right she was smiling and the moment was one of low key entertainment. And I see Wash Post has quoted her as they wish not just as it happen. But the power part stated by others is always there. I believe part of that is we don't have term limits.
As for being tough that's a different quality. Every time some one tries to run a few billion (Bush) through congress with no specifics attached. As the over 300 billion spent on Iraq already. Get those hearings going and lets see where it's going. No more look the other way no questions asked.

DJ i didn't see it but for the last two or three months fox and the boys have been trying to scare the country (as u can see how weasal got sucked into it) Telling everyone that she would be 2nd in line to the presidency. Again and again and even Scarbough tried to pull this crap. She probably just said this in a reaction from that to get a few laughs. Unfortunately guys like Freeze are now worried about people who are power hungry. Six years of power hunger has just went on and now it has dawned on him that some people like power. I wonder what Freeze would think if he knew a group stealing an election to get power? Then taking this power and lying to get into a war to profit a select few? Like you said lets get those books open. That is if there are any books.

Pelosi was an joke today . Not just this comment mentioned in this thread, but about 20 other statements from today(look 'em up). She is drunk with power and is ohhhhh so excited. She's already been proven to be an embarrassment. Maybe that will change.

On another note, I go into work this morning and turn on FOX as I do almost every day. The headline on the TV is ' Is Cindy Sheehan dictating Democratic foreign policy?'

Then they actually had a 'discussion' about whether she was at the helm (word they used) of democratic strategy.

LOL

But Kosar what can a 64 year old woman do? Is she really 64 looks decent for her age. As for power I hope she feels it right to her tight little butt. Those boys need some sitting on. I don't believe you think she can do any worse then that last bunch running things.

No, she can't really do any worse, not possible, but she came off like a total idiot.

I guess I'm not seeing the exact quote that you reference. Even the way it is presented it is obviously in some context, and does not show an exact quote. Maybe if you can come up with that, it might make some difference. Until then, it's a non-issue, really. It sounds like an off-handed comment, and was done at some "woman's tea", and how many quotes like this have come from the current administration and other politicians in more private gatherings of ardent supporters? Man, you guys are really scrapping for garbage, aren't you?

I'm not one for self indulgence, but a couple of things come to mind here. First, it is a tremedous accomplishment, and historical, and what she says is true. How many times have we seen conservatives (for the most part) and even some liberals say that a woman can never be President? I'm sure a woman as Speaker of the House was a laughable thing a few years ago.

Second, if she isn't the most powerful woman in America, then who is? I'm sure there are a few business leaders that are pretty important, and a queen is a big deal, but in this country, a female speaker of the house has to be in the top couple, doesn't it?

Heck, George is the Decider, so he says...isn't that enough for you Neocons?

Again, until I see an exact quote that is not paraphrased by a second tier newspaper in its own market, I'll reserve judgement. This publication has been around only since 1982, and is not on the Top 200 newspapers in the country...and I don't know how much farther down the list they hit. They certainly don't talk about their circulation numbers on their Web site.

Keep trying to make a story, conservatives. I know that losing ultimate power has to sting a little.

Right, there are absolutely no other media outlets in this country that would care to expose Pelosi with an exact quote like that, if there was one.

Whatever, Freeze.

Pelosi "this is the worst economy since great depression"

more news today on this great depression--
http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/us-stocks-lower-strong-jobs/story.aspx?guid={F91A484C-58C0-4511-9614-F63B9D233C7C}&siteid
(sorry link won't transfer)

The stock market had been rising strongly during the last six months of 2006, without any interruption, marking the second longest period of expansion without a 10% correction since World War II, according to Jeffrey Saut, market strategist at Raymond James.

Stock futures were already under pressure before the jobs report but failed to turn around after news that the economy added 167,000 jobs in December, way above economists forecasts for a 100,000 gain.
The unemployment rate stayed at 4.5%, while average hourly earnings increased 0.5%, far ahead of the 0.3% expected.

Dr. Freeze,

Who is the most powerful woman in America?

I don't think I'll be able to sleep till we get this whole mess figured out. This could be the biggest question facing this Country.

Sleep tight - it's Oprah Winfrey and will remain as such for at least another decade. ....And that's even after Hillary becomes President of the USA in 2 years.
