A fantastic effort by Marc-Andre Fleury gave the Penguins every chance to steal at least a point against the NJ Devils last night, but the offense did not comply, however we pick up another unit of profit on the night!
Tonight the Pens go to Long Island and take on the Islanders, nothing certain yet, but it looks as if Sebastian Caron will be between the pipes for Pittsburgh tonight. I'm not really sure if the Penguins are better than advertised or if their competitiom continues to play down to thier level, either way the line is rediculous at +280, come on! The Islanders are the better team, but I look for a much better effort from the Pens who feel they should have won last night, this will be an important game for the young squad, 2 plays tonight:

Lines from MVP Sportsbook

Penguins +280 1 unit
Pens/Isles OVER 5 -150 1 unit

Penguin plays 5-0-1 +7.1 units

Sorry Sam, that should read COULD have won, and I think they could have given the play of Fleury, any game tied in the third period could go either way. Team was very disapointed after the game they did not at least get to overtime.

Good Luck tonight

I agree, any game that is tied in the 3rd could go either way, but if they believe that they deserved to be in that game, they got more problems than i thought.

GL tonight

Well, what a display by my boys tonight!!! Thought the line was way off at +280 and I was right, it should have been +580. Catch my first L of the year, guess it had to happen but escape with no damage as we win on the total and split out on the night. Yea I know it's between the 2nd ans 3rd period right now and you think this is reverse mojo, but all the mojo in Dr Strangelove's library ain't gonn get the Pens 5 goals in the third period:

6-1-1 +7.1 units

I cashed on the Pens, called up Oly & they gave me Pit +6 goals.

Seriously though, this loss might setup for a good play on the Pens in their next game. I think it is a great situation for this team as they play their next game in 4 days against this same Isles team that beat them up & they get them at home. Also having 4 days till the game gives them time to stew over this some more & bring more to the table on the 29th.

The Pens should also catch the Isles in a bad spot as their game against these Pens will be on the back end of a B2B & off a matchup with local rival New Jersey.

Mr. Hockey

I like the theory there, but you just don't know how a young squad is gonna react to a game like that. Like the way you look ahead at the situations though, solid way to set up handicapping games.

BTW Anytime you can get a line like that from Olympic, let me know:D Had a local about 3 years ago who wanted to take hockey action because there in not an NBA team here so he got little interest in basketball and I chit you not he thought it was like betting football, a spread and -110 on every game reguardless of who was playing, imagine getting Colorado -.5 -110 againt Columbus 3 times a year! Needless to say he lasted almost to the all-star break before swithching to totals only:(

You do bring up a good point about how the younger guys will react. I think they will react in a positive way led by veterans like Mario, Straka, etc..... Boy Mario seemed very annoyed & aggitated last night.

I'll keep you informed about the +6 goals ;) :D Hey any chance we can get that local back in business ;) Is he still in business now doing just totals & if so are his lines correct?
