I think it was TV that asked do the Penguins play defense any more, well the answer is NO. Actually it was a mandate from management that the games be more exciting, they would rather lose 5-4 than tie 1-1, it is all about putting asses in seats right now, management has resigned the fact that the playoffs are a lottery shot and now are concerned with making the budget, which may also be a lottery shot.
Buffalo limps into Pittsburgh sporting a 5 game losing streak giving up 19 goals in thise 5 games, the Pens have found out that there are 2 nets on the ice surface, not just one in their end, averaging 3 goals a game over the last 5 games while giving up an alarming 23 goals in those games.
I see no reason this one can't go over 5 goals early.
