Penguin Plays
12-9-3 +2.65 units

Well obviously the Pens are overmatched here playing at Philly, but the Pens have played them to a tie twice this year and haven't played horrible hockey recently, the big thing here is the rediculous line the books are hanging on this game, no way you can lay that kind of chalk and even if I lose this one I won't be very upset, but I will take a shot at the stupid number.

Pittsburgh +500 1 unit
Pittsburgh +1.5 +130 1 unit

Good luck here, I am really just taking a shot at the line more than anything.

I'm doing the same and considering a Pen/Min parlay paying 6-1:eek:

I remember last season when I was fading the Pens the last 20+ games that they have not beaten the Flyers in Philly in some ridiculous number of games. I seem to remember it being 20 games or so:shrug:

Let's go Pens!!!!

Don't get me wrong, the Pens could get clobbered here as I still think Philly is one of the top 3 teams in the NHL right now and was expecting this line to be maybe as high as -350 or even an outside chance it would be -400, but -700 is rediculous and if anyone lays that kind of chalk, even in a parlay they should have all their accounts closed immediatly. The Pens are 2-2-1 in their last 5 and are scoring 2 goals a game which is not great, but if you take +1.5 on Pittsburgh and play the over I doubt you lose both, if the Pens can find a way to score twice then Philly needs 4 to cover the number and it is still +130 with the 1.5 goals most places, the over is 5 at -130 so if you play the Pens at +1.5 +130 and Over 5 -130 you get a push if the Pens get blown out or a push if they cover the spread with a 2-1 game, but I think you have a better shot of cashing both than losing both, I'll risk it on the Pens here. Sometimes handicapping hockey is about the lines as much as it is about the teams, this is an example of that.

Anytime I see 1.5 on any team I run the other way period! But here are the stats I have on the pens and flygirls this year. The pens on the road score on avg 1.8 gpg and give up 4.2 gpg. The flygirls @home score an avg of 3.6 gpg and give up 1.6 gpg. Tonights Referees are Rob Shick , Shane Heyer Shick is 12-10 ATS and is 11-10 on the overs/under. Heyer is 12-11 ATS and 11-11 on overs and unders. To put a unit to win 5 looks very tempting. But I will run the other way and hope that this road doggy barks real loud and knocks some sense into big chalk eaters:D gl
