wanted to follow up with this game. i am at work, so i don't have all my info, but basically it breaks down like this...
was at the minny game last week. with mills at qb, psu had no confidence, just going through the motions. mills couldn't throw, didn't even look like he wanted to be in there. the rest of the offense followed suit. when robinson came in, they already spotted minny 14 points, but he completely changed the game. you could see it in his teammates as well. i thought they just benched mills because it was that bad, but then i saw him on crutches at halftime (knee). regardless, everyone started playing harder, receivers ran better routes, oline worked harder. just new life all around. i expext a week of practice with robinson at qb will have them even sharper.
psu's homecoming is tomorrow as well, and after this game, they only have 2 more games in happy valley. just feel it's a key game for them to get a big ten win, if there's one out there. wins at home so far are against temple and kent state.
penn state is also 8-3 ats after a conference loss. this is the second of back to back road games for wisky, and as horns said above, they have a look ahead to ohio state next week.
wisky does have revenge on their side with a 34-31 loss at home to state last year, but just when you count joepa out and can't see them winning he surprises you. defense will see alot of the same as last week, run, run, run, which they had some trouble with, but i think with the offensive time of possesion being better, they will be more rested and able to handle it better than earlier in the year, it already showed last week as well.
consensus also 2-1 on wisky -
will add more if i find time.
good luck to all
