the jets will be lucky to finish this game with any healthy receivers if pennington doesn`t start throwing some of those passes with some zip...touch passes are fine when warranted..

garden,

Something I'm definitely gonna consider for the 2nd half. . . who knows what the line is gonna be or the score, but the Raider DBs haven't had a problem getting to the ball and/or receiver because of Pennington. . . problem is that I haven't really watched the Jets as I have other teams this year so I do not know of his abiltiy to adjust. . . he's obviously a very good QB, but what is with those passes? Nerves?

the guy is a beautiful touch passer....but in all honesty,i don`t remember ever seeing him zip an out pattern or throw a rope over the middle....not sure if it`s in his repertoire.....gotta think he can do it if he needs to...i find it hard to believe a guy at this level doesn`t have that ability....we`ll see...

That is the one fault with him. Perfect illustration was this pass to Coles in the endzone that should have been a TD. Nice defensive play by James, but as a QB, you need to get some zip on the ball in situations like that.

not to be overly critical

not to be overly critical

but many of these throws should be completed if thrown with a little more authority....just threw a balloon to santana moss on the sideline that was wide open, but floated and got there late and to high....the guy is good,a great faker, but teams will get hip,and take away the easy throws, forcing him to attempt the more difficult throws that require arm strength...

i agree with ya weasel....I'm still pissed about Woodson getting away with climbing up the jets receivers ass before. Simms says a great no call.

Does he have cash on Oakland??? LOL

a great no call...he's full of a big load of sh*t. LOL

the trend continues as even his completions look like floaters. i never really noticed it during the regular season. i think maybe he's just a little too tight in this game and trying to aim the ball too much. just a rook, ya know.

definitely the big game freeze out. what is that, four picks now? that's more than he's thrown all season.

looks like

looks like

even on completions, his receivers are fighting to get back to the ball before the defenders do.....that last int took to long to get there...if a guy`s not wide open on an out,the defender has a shot if he has decent make-up speed.....he has an arm that resembles chris redman of the ravens....a good young qb that definitely lacks some arm strength.....but,this is a tough situation for a rookie,...a playoff game in oakland.....
